The event in Oklahoma City also garnered second ranking gross sales number for all “Fight Night” events with a live gate of $650,000.
  • Former “The Ultimate Fighter 2″ cast member, Seth Petruzelli hinted that he may be making a return to the UFC following his recent victory over Chris Batten at Art of Fighting – Damage in a recent post directed at Kimbo Slice on the popular forum TheUnderground. Maybe GSP can be ready by december or jan to hand a whoopin to kampann, swick or whoever the poor bastard will be :D

Maybe they’re trying to set up a slice vs petruzelli rematch? I’d like to watch that

UFC event second only to the legendary ROlling Stones? You hear that bob arum?

  • Dirty says:

A guy a I know saw GSP at a club in Montreal, some rapper from Paris was performing. Apparently GSP was along a wall completely by himself with a big sweater and tuke on, dancing by himself with a bottle of alcohol in his hand, grinding to the music. The guys group went up to him and talked to him…. Thats about it. I’m from Montreal so I always hear a GSP story every now and then. This one sounded weird but the guy swore it was him, they talked and everything.

  • lpdea_mma says:

Yes we are! I’m from Montreal too and I’m really happy that GSP’s getting better everyday. About the thing you said about GSP’s in the club. What can I say, the guy like to get out sometimes and have some fun. What’s wrong about it? I look forward for his return! Peace

  • DigYourOwnHole says:

    110% wow!

Is the extra 10% for the illegal application of some sort of slippery substance?

  • jcohl says:

    Not-so-quick responses:

    - no need for the Greatness to hurry back. It’s not like there is anyone for him to face thats going to come close to beating him.
At this point you’d need to be Indiana fu<king Jones in order to dig up a 170er with a shot at beating GSP…

    - I'm sure this UFC trip to Texas will go better than the last one did.
    After all, how couldn't it?

    - WEC, why bother?
Just wait until year's end and let Dana deal with all of your TV sh!t after you've been absorbed/merged/shut down…

    - both 103 and UFN ticket sales [and ratings, PPV buys etc.] just indicate the constant upward spiral of MMA.
    Well done Texas and Oklahoma…

    - I'm guessing that if Kimbo Slice doesn't win TUF, he'll be re-matching Petruzelli at the finale?

    - Strikeforce in Chicago?
The have a huge Eastern European/Slavic/Russian population out there, so I imagine a lot of a$$es in seats to see Fedor submit Rogers.

    - Best of luck on that knee surgery, Ginger Ninja.

    - finally, no March UFC event for Ohio?
Sh!t, now we have to hear from Gun and the bizzes about how Ohio isn't getting their respect…
    ;)

  • Gunslinger says:

hey dude this is stupid no event in columbus!…..columbus is consistently the b est venue for ufc events and ohio has the best mma fans and crowds imo……there better be one in Cincinnati, or cleveland or ill be angry

    • Jazzkok says:

Dude we’ve yet to have one here in the bay area! I know there isn’t really a place in san francisco to hold an event unless they wanted to go outdoors @ the best park in the country AT&T park. So atleast you guys have been to shows in your hometown. I’d have to go to san jose or sacramento in the arco arena.

    • No sh!t Gun, with no Cincinnati event in sight I was counting on Columbus to be where I see my first event….We sat over 16,000 last time they came to Cincy and if you recall it was one of the loudest, most hyped crowds evaa. With all the good Ohio fighters on the roster and the numbers that we’ve generated (which have never been lackluster) WTF is Dana thinking? GRRR gonna have the bizzes send him an e-mail. ;)

  • Happy that GSP will be ready soon, i just wonder whats going to happen with the WW division, whoever challenges him next will just be the next dude to get FATALITIED on by GSP….

  • GarRule says:

GSP comments lead me to believe he may be used to fill the void left by Rampage. Maybe a GSP v. Swick fight? That’d be cool… Does that timeline even make sense?

Also…how about some UFC here in New York!! Matt Serra at Nassau Coliseum! (Long Guyland)

  • GarRule says:

I know…but UFC 100 at Radio City was pretty sweet. (Thanks FRENZY!)
