lets go rich!
Vitor via ko or tko
Cro-cop via left kick of doom
Kampmann via sub or ref stoppage
Trigg via decision or tko(Kos has zero chin)
I still say that Franklin will problably get put to sleep in this fight. The obly way i see him scoring a ko or tko is if Vitor gasses but i don;t think that will happen because at 195 Vitor will be in killer shape like he has been recently. Franklin will most likely use his technique but he also better have worked on his head movement because that can save him in this fight if it goes to the 3rd round. Should be a war but i’m still pickin Vitor to get the win and then ask for a shot at Anderson like Dana wanted.
I really hope that Cro-cop comes in shape because thats’ been one of the main things effecting his overall performances recently. If he comes in the way he says he will then we should expect him to push the pace on Dos Santo and look to put Dos Santos to sleep. I still feel that Dos Santos hasn’t been tested yet and this fight will show us a lot of what he truly is made of, but i feel that he will be overwhelmed by the spotlight and lack of Big Fight experience and since he’s a short dude i hope to once again see Cro-cop “Cro-cop” someone.
We’ve talked about this over more in the forum, but this is going to be Mirko’s best shot at winning in the UFC.
If JDS is willing to stand with him, and turn this thing into some sort of K-1 bout in a cage, he’s probably going to get caught. Some of Mirko’s skills might have eroded [takedown defense, cardio], while some have never developed [wrestling, BJJ, cage control], but the man is still a hella fierce striker.
I’m guessing that this fight was signed so that Mirko can grab a win, gain some traction with the UFC fanbase and have some sort of gravitas when he moves into his new role as the promotion’s Euro point-man.
Unfortunately after this fight, Mirko’s list of options that don’t involve him on his back for 15 minutes and catching another “L” are basically a re-match with a similarly mono-dimensional fighter in Chieck Kongo, Kimbo Slice. or maybe some other TUF 10 contestant who thinks about some chick’s azz when he hears the term, “well-rounded”.
