A lightweight matchup between Phillipe Nover and Sam Stout scheduled for the preliminary card of tonight’s UFC Fight Night 19 event has been canceled after Nover suffered a seizure backstage before the fight.
“He is OK,” wrote UFC President Dana White in a Tweet announcing that the fight was off. He posted in a later Tweet that Nover was “sitting ringside and 100 percent healthy.”
A finalist on The Ultimate Fighter 8, Nover dropped a decision to Efrain Escudero at the TUF 8 Finale in December then suffered his second-straight loss to Kyle Bradley in May via first-round TKO.

Wow hopefully nover is ok dehydration?
Sucks for him. He will have to get that checked out, I’m sure.
Maybe he fainted again, like on the show.
Q but that is the problem perhaps what he did on the show wasn’t just a faint, perhaps it is something more neurological and well that isn’t a good thing, its actually something to be quite concerned about…
well don’t know how heavy he was but last minute cuts can really hurt u but get better soon wish someone could fill in wanted to see stout fight
Too short of notice to clear someone with the athletic commission.
DEFINITELY needs to getthat fainting thing checked out.
It could be neurological, circulatory, or even cardiac in nature.
Best of luck to him moving forward…
First Eves screws him now this. I feel bad for this guythats a string of rotten luck.
Okay, so we all feel bad for him (which I agress with) but I hope these guys still had a payday. I mean 8 weeks of a tough training camp to fly to Oklahoma and tell people you’re in shape?
