Keepin’ my fingers for Carwin to topple the vanilla gorilla and for McLovin’ to come back from his injury and put out “The Heat”.

  • L4E1X5 says:

    Officially excited.

    • Jazzkok says:

This is going to be a great card dude! I hope tito looks sharp against coleman and I can’t wait to see these two monsters, brock and carwin face off! I don’t really understand the Fitch vs Almeida but whatever. Karo vs Hazelett is going to be an exciting fight as well! Good fights all around!

      • fr702 says:

Its Almeida’s first fight in the WW division and well its an excellent test for the both of them imo…. Fitch should win and I believe doing so would put him back in contention for the title shot in January yet if Ricardo wins that just brings pretty decent life back to the WW division…. should be rather interesting no matter how it plays out, with Swick, Kampmann, Fitch v Almedia, its kinda needed too bad The Greatness is ducking KOS

      • L4E1X5 says:

“The Greatness?” Man, im hoping Carwin KO’s Brock! That would be awesome! This card looks great. I know it’s Tito’s comeback, but man it would be awesome to see Coleman shut him down. No one thinks Coleman is going to upset Tito. I like an underdog, what can I say? And yes FR, I say Rua WILL beat Machida! [Wishful thinking ;) ] Fitch will do well against Almeida, just stay away from them subs!

      • fr702 says:

The Greatness = GSP (I coined it back @ UFC 94 cuz The Greatness beat Penn)

I think that Coleman has a chance to beat Tito, I’ve seen some of Tito’s recent workouts and frankly he doesn’t look good and when I met him in Philly he looked like his back still bothered him, and Coleman tho old looks like he can move around a bit better the only question I have bout Coleman is his gas tank but he is training at Xtreme Couture so that will help (everytime I think of Xtreme whatever I think of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle)

      • jcohl says:

        GSP?
        Ducking Josh Koscheck?
        Sacre merde!
I’m assuming thats the famous fr702 wit being displayed, considering as how GSP beat them man everyone likes to call d-bag back in late summer ‘07…
        ;)

    • max says:

Anthony Rumble Johnson can beat GSP!!!!!!

  • fr702 says:

That card looks pretty damnn good to me, I’m pulling for Coleman, McLovin, LiL NOG and Amir

but I think Cane and LiL NOG is going to be a hell of a fight, Carwin v Lesnar well they better reinforce the cage, Fitch v Ricardo should be good and Marcus Davis and Ben should be a nice scrap… Good looking card honestly

  • oldman420 says:

“its kinda needed too bad The Greatness is ducking KOS”

    hope your kidding

  • truemmafan says:

Im sat in a bar in malia and as always have logged into mmafrenzy and am super pumped for this card, please no changesor injuries. I see Ortiz and Lesnar both winning via TKO

  • matt says:

how is ortiz coleman the co main event?, tito hasnt fought in a 18 months, hasnt beat anyone since beating a aged and past it ken shamrock in 2006.

colemans coming off a win over an extremely out of sorts stephan bonner. its a good match up, but out …of the bouts on this card definatley not deserving of being co main.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Luis Cane << awesome fight – lil nog ftw though

Jon Fitch vs. Ricardo Almeida << almeida at welterweight could be a test for anyone and fitch is well deserving of a better stance in the organisation.

Phil Baroni vs. Amir Sadollah << im not sure why ufc resigned baroni, he isnt more than a gate keeper at best. amir for the win!!!

Marcus Davis vs. Ben Saunders << WHAT A FIGHT, scrap of the night for sure

    Karo Parisyan vs. Dustin Hazelett
<< mclovin to cool the heat down!

Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin << im actually making carwin my favourite for this. he will make brock quit.

Tito Ortiz vs Coleman << tito wins a 15 minute ground war, after coleman gasses late first round.

    • jcohl says:

FYI, Ortiz-Coleman is the co-main event because of the on-again bromance between Tito and Dana White.
It’ll be interesting to see if Coleman can co<kblock Dana's plans to feature Tito as a legit 205 threat, and maybe, just maybe sign a Machida-Ortiz rematch…

      • BuzzBradski says:

Yeah, it’s a tough call as to who to cheer for on this one. I always like to see Tito lose, but it would be pretty darn sweet to see him get slapped around by Machida again, and he’d only get that opportunity with a couple wins under his belt.

I doubt Tito would last more than a few rounds with the newer/better/deadlier Lyoto that we are all familiar with, but that is a topic for another thread.

As for Carwin vs Lesnar, man there would be nothing more thrilling than seeing Brock get crumpled early and then come up with excuses (“I gave him my chin! How lucky can he get?”) lol. But I don’t see that happening.

    • bruceleroy says:

I think the justification as having Ortiz/Coleman as the co-main event is having the big name on the card, not necessarily what have you done for me lately. Ortiz’s return has generated a lot of buzz, which turns into $$$ for the UFC. IMHO smart for them from a promotional/advertising point of view to have it as a co-main. Whether the fighters deserve it based on recent accomplishments is definitely debatable, as you said.

  • Dirty says:

I personally don’t think Carwin is ready for Lesnar but obviously anyone has a punchers chance with the type of power Carwin has. Just like Rogers and Fedor….

Gonzagas a beast and a top contender at HW but Couture took him down and overpowered him, Verdum beat him and Gonzaga completely dominated Carwin, took him down, broke his nose before he got caught.

I get why people would be buying into the hype but I personally don’t think Carwin is ready yet. They should have put him up against Caine first. Ny thoughts on that is that Caine would have grinded him out with superior wrestling, speed and Carwin vs Lesnar would have never happened….. Why not cash in now while Carwins seen as an unbeatable monster.

    • T3chn3tnium says:

cain had trouble with kongos stand up..but who doesn’t.. carwin IMO hits harder than kongo. also look at the GG KO carwin was leaning back off his back leg and knocked him out in one hit. carwin had KO power. brock has…. multiple hammer fist until you tap… carwin would beat cain.. btw GG is a very respectable fighter.. hes def. not a freebee

      • T3chn3tnium says:

not to mention cain has not been up to par his last 2 fights i believe.. still don’t know how he didn’t finish kongo.. and he let stojnic stay in the fight way too long

    • gibor says:

i would like to see carwin agnst another slugger, maybe kimbo!
i’d put brock against some big-boy wrestler,
maybe we can find if dan severn is still alive!!!

  • Gunslinger says:

this sucks because only 5 fights will make it to the maincard but i want to see every single fight listed on there live…hopefully there will be some quick finishes which i think could happen with lesnar and carwin and tito vs coleman and sadollah vs baroni

?Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Shane Carwin-carwin ko rnd 1
    UFC Heavyweight Championship
?Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman- tito tko rnd 1
?Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Luis Cane- luiz cane UD
?Jon Fitch vs. Ricardo Almeida- almeida by submission (choke) rnd 1
?Phil Baroni vs. Amir Sadollah- baroni by ko rnd 1
?Marcus Davis vs. Ben Saunders- saunders by SD
?Karo Parisyan vs. Dustin Hazelett- hazelett by submission(gogoarmoplatabar) rnd 2

    • Jazzkok says:

Holy $hit i forgot phil “best eva eva eva” baroni was back with the UFC!

Yea gunslinger all of these fights look great and i would love to watch them live.

Fitch and Almeida better sharpen their stand up because I think they will both cancel eachother’s wrestling and grappling out since that’s both of their games. IMO both these guys are whatever when trading but i’m guessing that’s what it’s going to come down to.

  • T3chn3tnium says:

Finally Brocks big ugly chin will get tested!! unfortunately brock will resort to the lay and prey game but I do see brock underestimated carwin and his ground game

    Carwin TKO rd 2

    Tito UD

  • This is a super sick card:

Brock vs Carwin- I think this is the fight everyone wanted to see for the Heavyweight title. Most people believe that Carwin can put Brock to sleep which is a possibility, BUT i honestly feel that Carwin isn’t ready for the spotlight just yet and in recent interviews has sounded somewhat insecure about fighting Brock, even though he talked sh1t about him before. One thing that i like about Brock is that the guy is always confident and never double guesses himself. If Carwin cannot avoid the takedown than i’m most sure that Brcok will do him like he did Herring and Mir. I don’t know if Brock will want to stand with Carwin, but if he does then i feel that we will see him get ko’d because although Brock is super strong, his stand-up is very lacking and he does not have ko power like Carwin IMO. I still think that the spotlight and all the attention will get to Carwin and when he steps in the octagon he’ll realize that he’s not ready for a shot at the title….i mean he went from fighting Velasquez to fighting Brock…big difference. Brock should take this one.

I’m personaly super happy to see my boy Tito come back and put some “punishment” on old man Coleman. Tito will problably be rusty and kinda slow, but he should have enough to beat Coleman, possibly score a t(lo) victory. Coleman is a tough dude who is always game, but someon like Tito always comes in with awesome cardio and will overwhelm Coleman in this match most certainly. I’m excited for this fight becausee Ortiz has been my boy for a very long time and i’m happy to see him whip some a$$ in the UFC again, i know most of you don’t like Tito and think he doesn’t have it anymore, but we’ll find out i guess. Tito via tko or ref stoppage(same thing).

Marcus Davis lost his fight to Dan Hardy because he let Hardy get in his head, he is a better fighter than Hardy but fought with his emotions and paid the price for it. Ben Saunders either choked or just was not sure of himself against Swick and that’s why he lost. This fight, i honestly feel that Saunders should be able to apply his Muay Thai clinch on Davis and do some damage there, either way he has a huge reach advantage and should use it to keep his range, but Davis is a good boxer, i just feel that he has to get inside to score shots but when he does that i see Saunders making him pay, Davis’s best bet is to go for the grounf IMO, he’s suoper strong and can possibly score a ref stoppage or a sub.

I thnk that Almaeida vs Fitch should be a decent fight but i don’t think either guy can finish the fight. Their styles will neutralize eachother into a grappilng match kinda like Condit-Kampmann and we’ll see a fight like that, most likely this fight goes to decision, but i have Fitch controlling Ricardo for 3 rounds unless Almeida gets a sub, but Fitch is not easy to catch in a sub sooo.

I think that the evolution of the sport has passed Karo by, the dude always talks about “oh i lost the fight…but did you see my sick throws??, all the fans say oh Karo you have the sickes throws dude”….yeah buddy but those throws havn’t won you a fight recently. Dustin is a super talented and young dude that i honestly feel will have his way with Karo on the ground and eventually score a sub or ref stoppage. Parysian never comes in good shape and is a very predictable fighter who overrates his overall skill set, Dustin will show him that this is a new generation and you either evolve with the sport or not(Chris Leben).

  • L4E1X5 says:

    Few questions:

If Fitch wins, does he deserve the next rematch?

If Karo loses, should he get the boot?!

How many more fights does Coleman need to win for a title shot? [For kicks!]

  • RonnyRAGE says:

looks like the Card of the year on paper

  • The Zan Man says:

Carwin and Ortiz all the way…

I cant wait to see this card.

  • russiandoeboi says:

tito looked very good against rashad and lyoto.

as much coleman is still impressive he wont GnP tito therfore he probly wont win

  • russiandoeboi says:

i pick carwin by brutal KO

cause although brock can hit he probly cant KO carwin if gonzaga couldnt.
brocks biggest strength to take people down wont work – i dont see him laying on carwin for 3 rounds and getting much done like against mir.

carwins power is more than mir or couture i believe

  • Kookie says:

I’m so happy to see Ortiz! and he is 100% the hammer is going to get nailed!

  • GONZO65 says:

All of you are buying into the hype of shane carwin, if you look at is 11 fights i would think brock could take care of them also. gonzaga was his hardest opponent and he managed to take carwin to the ground he just got caught.
BROCK LESNAR has faught better and more experienced fighters. i predict brock takes him down early and handels him there.
