Leonard Garcia vs. Manny Gamburyan Likely for WEC 44
A featherweight matchup between Leonard Garcia and Manny Gamburyan is in the works for WEC 44, according to Sherdog, which reports that both fighters have agreed to the bout and that official agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.
The Versus-televised event, which was originally rumored to take place on November 21, is now expected to take place in Las Vegas on November 18 and features a main event between featherweight champ Mike Brown and Jose Aldo.
Both former UFC lightweights, Garcia (13-4) bounced back from a loss to Brown with a split decision win over Jameel Massough in August, while Gamburyan (9-4), the runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter 5, rebounded from back-to-back defeats in the UFC to top John Franchi in June in his 145-pound debut.

Haven’t seen Manny fight for a while. This should be a tough fight for Garcia just because Manny has the ability to hold people down. Hopefully Garcia can keep it standing and come ahead with the W though.
This sounds like a good fight! Never been a fan of Garcia but the kid has power and a good chin.
This is a pretty good matchup.
Garcia’s last fight was really close, he lost that fight IMO. So he is going to need a strong performance in this one. I dont see this fight going the distance. Garcia has great power, and Manny always likes to come out explosive and swinging for the fences. I gotta go with Garcia in this one. I think he has the better chin of the two, which will be the factos.
Always glad to see another outing for the Parisyan/Gamburyan MMA style of “throw and go”…
