Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will make his UFC debut against Luis Cane at UFC 106 on November 21 in Las Vegas, according to Sherdog, which reports that the pair of Brazilians have agreed to the fight but that bout agreements are still pending for the light heavyweight matchup.
Nogueira (17-3), the twin brother of UFC heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, is currently riding a five-fight win streak that includes victories over Edwin Dewees and Vladimir Matyushenko at Affliction’s two MMA events, as well as his most-recent win in May over Dion Staring.
After suffering a DQ loss to James Irvin in his UFC debut in late-2007, Cane (10-1) has won three-straight over Jason Lambert, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, and Steve Cantwell.
UFC 106 is headlined by Brock Lesnar’s heavyweight title defense against Shane Carwin and is also rumored to include Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman and Phil Baroni vs. Amir Sadollah.
