Two Fights Added to “The Ultimate Fighter 10″ Finale
Two fights have been added to the December fifth scheduled The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale in Las Vegas, NV. Those fights include Kurt Pellegrino vs. Frankie Edgar and Dennis Hallman vs. John Howard. According to a report on Jon Anik’s Twitter page, at least two sources, including his co-host Franklin McNeil, are indicating the addition of the Pellegrino vs. Edgar bout.
Pellegrino was last in action at UFC 101 in August where he earned a unanimous decision victory of Josh Neer. The bout was the third in a three fight win streak for “Batman” since he was submitted by Nate Diaz in April of 2008. The New Jersey based fighter has amassed a 14-4 record (6-3 UFC) in his MMA career, including nine submission victories.
Edgar will be looking to develop end Pellegrino’s winning streak while continuing one of his own. His last fight was a unanimous decision victory over Sean Sherk at UFC 98. The only loss currently on Edgars record is a Unanimous decision loss to Gray Maynard in April of 2008.
The Howard vs. Hallman bout, which was originally reported to be scheduled for UFC 106, has been moved to the card for The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, according to a report from MMAJunkie. This bout will mark Hallman’s promotional return, after a four year absence. Both fighters will be looking to extend winning streaks that night, Hallman will look to add a fifth victory to his current streak and Howard will be fighting for his sixth consecutive win.
The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale will also feature the final fight to determine the seasons winner, as well as other bouts including Matt Hammill vs. Jon Jones.

Ya this should be a good fight but seriously though everything Kurt is good at Edgar is better. They are a similar fighter but Frankie is just sharper in all aspects. Plus they are the same size so Edgar wont have to give up a big streangth advantage like he usually does.

Yeah… so I saw the story on this the other day when it was reported for 106, and wrote this story up now, and saw the headline of “Superman” vs. “Doomsday” on other websites… and it only just now dawned on me… wow, I’m usually not that dense.

The winner of Frankie Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino moves up to Contender status IMO, both these guys have been on decent win streaks and both scored somewhat big wins lately so this should be a good fight. Both guys are ground fighters but Frankie i think has the better stand-up. Whoever can control the other fighter on the groung more wins because these guys don’t have ko power.
Dennis Hallman vs. John Howard…Superman vs Doomsday!!! sick i like it, just that alone should sell this fight, i’m already sold.

I think a win over sherk where he was a massive underdog counts for more than a “somewhat big win”. But i think I know what you meant.

i love batman but its hard for me to see him making it out of this fight without getting destroyed….he was getting out struck in his fight against rob emerson and in this fight not only will frankie have the striking advantage but also the wrestling advantage

Honestly guys, the TUF 10 finale looks better than UFC 105 lol. TUF 10 finale will have jones/hamill, pellegrino/edgar, HW finale, and lets be serious, barring any injury, KIMBO SLICE will be on it!!!.

really some mma fans complain so much its stupid ufc 105 is an awesome free card…..your probably the same kinda person who complained about ufc 95 and that ended up being one of the better cards this year and it was free!

Those are both great fights. This card could end up looking as good as a ppv card.
I like the fact that Batman is stepping up in competition and really taking on a top fighter in Edgar. However, I dont believe he has what it takes to beat Frankie. I think Frankie will out-box him, and grind out a decision victory.
As for the Hallman-Howard fight, its a tough pick, I think Hallman can win that one but it wont be easy. Howard can scrap, and he is no pushover.
I will be pulling for Hallman, because i really want to see a Hallman-Hughes rematch. And in order for that to happen, i believe Hallman needs to get a win or two under his belt.

Edgar and Batman should be a great fight. Im pullin for Batman but it will be a tough fight. Kurt made me a big fan in his fight with Diaz.
