You can finally start mailing out the invites for your Jose Aldo-Conor McGregor viewing bash…as today the promotion has announced that the featherweight title fight is set for July 11th.

The bout will headline UFC 189, and as expected, it will go down in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

McGregor relayed the fight’s date at a Q&A session today in Vegas, in advance of tomorrow’s UFC 183 card. Here is what “Notorious” had to say (quote via UFC.com):

“We have the fight date for McGregor-Aldo, the biggest fight of the year,” McGregor said. “Saturday, July 11th, International Fight Week, I’m gonna rip that Brazilian’s head off.”

“I am calm, composed and I am ruthless,” McGregor said. “This is just another man in my way.”

How’s that for a fight announcement? Would you expect anything else from the brash featherweight?

McGregor secured a title fight with the featherweight champ earlier this month, by taking out Dennis Siver at UFC FN 59. Aldo, meanwhile hasn’t fought since October, when he scored a UD win over Chad Mendes.

That fight should be an absolute doozy.
