Marcus Davis vs. Ben Saunders On Tap for UFC 106
The lineup for UFC 106 continues to shape up, with a fifth welterweight bout reportedly added to the card. Marcus “The Irish Hand Grenade” Davis will be taking on Ben “Killa B” Saunders at the November 21 event in Las Vegas, according to a report by MMA Junkie, and both fighters will be looking to rebound after recent losses.
Davis was last in action in June at UFC 99 in Germany, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Dan Hardy. Prior to the loss, Davis had put together back-to-back wins over Paul Kelly and Chris Lytle, after losing to Saunders’ last opponent, Mike Swick, at UFC 85. The Las Vegas event will mark Davis’ first fight on American soil since his April 2007 victory over Pete Spratt in Houston.
Saunders’ was also last in action at UFC 99 against Swick, suffering a second-round TKO that ended a three fight win streak he had been on since his time on The Ultimate Fighter.
UFC 106 is also rumored to include a heavyweight title fight between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin, as well as the UFC return of Tito Ortiz against Mark Coleman.

can’t wait for this oi hope marcus wins.
SWEET! strikefest anyone?
Should be a good fight that I will give to Marcus. He didnt look great against Hardy. Maybe he overtrained, but he looked better than Saunders did against Swick. Marcus needs this one bad to stay near the top 10.
I agree, should be a good fight. Both guys need a win.
I’m not sure if Ben can handle the power of Marcus, I like this matchup an awful lot
yeah I am stoked for this one as well
Good matchmaking here, for sure.
Inititally I have to agree that in spite of Saunders improvement, Davis might be too much for him right now.
Plus, Davis needs this win badly to avoid the slide.
Good news here is that there is almost no way this thing’ll go 15 minutes…
Glad to see Saunders back. Hopefully we get to see more of those knees! This is a tough fight for him though. Marcus always brings it.
