UFC 183 and the return of Anderson Silva is just around the corner, and what better way to get pumped for it, then to watch one of “The Spider’s” greatest wins ever?
Back in 2009, during the height of the lengthy and storied reign of Silva, the former middleweight champ moved up to 205 to face Forrest Griffin. Although the latter was no longer light-heavyweight champ, and was coming off a loss to Rashad Evans, at the time, everyone wondered how Silva would deal with the size and toughness of the TUF 1 winner.
As we all witnessed, and you can do so again, he dealt with it just fine…
It’s also interesting to note that in the UFC 101 bout, Silva puts his hands down by his sides on multiple occasions, but unlike what happened versus Chris Weidman, Griffin was unable to capitalize on it. It was an amazing, jaw dropping performance which you can watch again below.
Silva is set to take on Nick Diaz at the January 31st, UFC 183 card, which will go down in Las Vegas.
