No real surprises here, great card!

  • Planck16 says:

In my opinion, Jardine is stealing from the company with 55k. The dude is a punching bag with a glass jaw. I think the LHW Division is slowly thinning its herd.

    • dbiz says:

      *sigh*

The Company willingly entered into that contract with him. In fact, usually the complaint is that the Company has too much leverage in negotiations and screws the fighters.

If the Company didn’t feel he was worth 55k, they could always cut him.

      In short, you’re wrong.

      Love you, call me.

      • Justin says:

They probably will cut him after consecutive losses. As far as him being a “punching bag with a glass jaw,” I guess Rampage, and Liddell didn’t get that memo, because neither of them were able to put him down.

      • fr702 says:

Ok I F~ING love this…. First off DbiZ good Monday to you sir, nice to see the group is ready lets do this…

Seriously what is it with people? They Bit*h and moan about how dare Jardine get paid 10,000 perfight when Wanderlei Knocked him the F out, how was he going to pay for his medical bills how dare the UFC take advantage of Keith Jardine, that is why Dana is the Devil, :-(
Keith can’t make that much money off of his sponsors, to pay for his medical bills, what about his family? Dana forced him to sign that BS contract, Dana is a slave driver…

What most people don’t realize is that Jardine is a very educated man and signed the contract himself, that TUF contract ya know the show soo many are fans of ;-)

Now that Jardine got 55 to show and assuming he won another 55, your going to sit on the fence and quai Figther Bash.. Are you Fing kidding me, this isn’t general FING hospital kid this isn’t a soap opera for you to complain that the girl didn’t get that kiss before being driven off a bridge to her death….. Everyone complained about his TUF pay and he got a raise and new contract now people are complain that he gets tooo much, you have got to be FING Shiitt*ng me$

      • jcohl says:

Just to be clear, when I picked Thiago Silva to beat Keith Jardine by “holy sh!t” KO, I wasn’t fighter-bashing.
As a matter of fact, over in the forum I was trying to settle some of those guys down on a thread entitled, “Keith Jardine belongs in the prelims”…
        ;)
Also, fr702, maybe you should go to your happy Strikeforce place, and not let all the Keith Jardine sniping upset you.
Because as mk4 and I know, we don’t want you to get angry, because we wouldn’t like you when you’re angry, bro
        :)

      • fr702 says:

Guys I’m just tired of the recent rash of Bashing,,, If so and so is going to KTFO so and so, then thats all bueno Don’t care but honestly that shhh was getting a bit ridiculous…

And thx I will go to my happy MMA place fyi :P

  • carls says:

Ouch for Krysztof. Guess hes still on one of those post TUF contracts.

Gonzaga got the biggest payout for an undercard fighter ive ever seen.

    • bsbiz says:

That was his third fight since the finale of TUF 9. It is a good guess that he is still on his first one. He probably has one or two more fights and then he will probably be in the $15k range with a slow rise to probably $25k over the course of the contract. After that, it all depends on whether he has become a regular part of the discussion of elite fighters at 205 or whether he’s just good solid card-filler. The former would yield close to six figures per fight, the latter in the $30-60k range.

  • L4E1X5 says:

I was thinking the same thing about Gonzaga. Nice payday for him.

  • jcohl says:

Maybe the cash was a motivating factor in the beating Gonzaga threw Tuchscherer?
Also, as we’ve discussed multiple times, I’d be willing to bet that Soszynski took home more than reported 8 grand.
    ;)

    • Jazzkok says:

      FR702,

I agree dude. I see a lot of people complain about salaries but when they see a guy they are not a fan of, they complain that he makes too much when before they were saying he among many were paid too little.

I for one have always been a huge thiago silva fan and a huge jardine hater but i’ve never really complained about the guy getting his pay off.
Was i jumping out of control after thiago put him too sleep? sure i was :) But hey, Jardine, wether i like it or not, is a “name” in the sport and takes tough fights, besides the fact that he has beaten some top guys like lidell, griffin and vera. So even though i honestly can’t stand the guy, he’s earned his paycheck.

      • dbiz says:

        Jackpot.

Brandon Lee Crow, or some other incarnation?

      • Only True 1 says:

        Jazz
What up player, you guys were right, Jardine got beat.!! OOppps my bad got Murdered again!! Dude I did NOT realize Thiago was that big!! Boy the joker is massive, he didn’t look that big against Lyoto at all. Guess that new training paid off!!

Well Jardine has had his soul taken away from him by Houston.
He had 10 years shaved off his life by decapitation by Wandy!!
He was Murdered then recessitated back to life and Murdered again and Rampage!!
And Now Thiago just Flat lined him for good IMO!!
Sooooo yeah the dude deserves his money good gracious!!!

        Fr
funny stuff but true about his medical bills!!
Umm How many times can you get KO’ed before permenant brain damage sets in???

      • fr702 says:

        OT1,

it’s not exactly KO’s its alot to do with the constant acceptance of punches to the face… Boxing is a great example of this sort of “brain damage”, it doesn’t all have to do with being ko’d and ya I get where you were headed with that :P

  • GSP says:

look at the calibre of people that the Dean of Mean has been put up against!! I would like to see another fighter who has a rockier road than Jardine. Ever since knocking out Forrest “Gump” Griffin he’s been fighting savage after savage. The dude has taken his lumps, literally and figuratively. Pay that man!!

    edit~ FR702
    pretty clear I think

  • Nightmare says:

great card weird that GG got more than most people on main card.

  • I hope Chris Tuchscherer ($10,000) got a little something extra for that fight. He deserves it for continuing when he could have taken the DQ, and the win bonus, and no one could have faulted him for it.
