With the talks of low ticket sales, I’m curious to see what it looks like come pay per view time, heard they were moving some people to the lower bowl for free to fill up…the end
I’m pretty sure no “sold out” event is truly sold out what with the freebies and scalper sales (I’m sure they didn’t bill this one as “sold out” though). I’ve been to 4 events and snuck down to better seats 3 of the times. The only time we didn’t sneak down was at 100 with our sectin 212 row A seats as that event looked truly sold out (heck, people were spending up to $500 to see closed captioned at the Mandalay Bay viewing beach area).
Anyhoo, every event has security looking the other way while guys sneak down to the 100s. Although it does suck if you spent a ton for seats. A buddy of mine spent $450 for 300 level seats in Montreal for an event that once there, scaplers were giving the tickets away for almost half the cost. Guess it depends when/where you buy your tickets.
anyone know of a live feed link they can post up for me
please?
Send me a friend request and tonight before the fights I’ll send you some links. You need an initial main stream and at least two back ups…Ever since UFC 100 it seems Zuffa now goes on seek and destroy missions to shut down as many streams as possible, and I’ve seen some really obscure streams suddenly go blank.
or just buy the ppv cheapo
I do…my brother is a computer geek who can obtain anything for free…
Chris Leben i wish he’d go away already
didn’t he lose on steroids in his last fight? Guess he though England would be lax on drug testing.
and they better show Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer.
They will show all 45 seconds of it.
Question for the biz bros.
Where do you guys go for wings and beer come fight night? I was born and raised in Cincy but now live across the river in Northern KY and have been hitting up either Hooters on the river, or Wings n Rings in Crescent Springs. As I’m both a fan of hooters and beer tubes this has worked out nice for me (when I can afford it, I’m a full time student so money gets tight as hell for me sometimes). You guys are a trip man and would be cool to rock out with ya’ll on fight night if your going to be at a local establishment.
We are going to the Harper’s Point B-Dub. We’ll be up there around 8. Send a private message and we’ll meet up or something.
Being from ohio you have to go to b dubs…. Im not from ohio, just worked for one and i believe that where b dubs started right?
Cant wait for this! Tonights going to be awesome, have a couple beers, maybe lots of beers hahaha seeing how its my birthday, and ufc 102 is tonight. It doesnt get much better than that.
my picks:
Couture via UD
Marquardt via KO 1st rd
Jardine via UD
Leben via TKO 3rd rd
Soszynski via split decision
(im really torn in this fight, its way too hard to make a prediction)
Herman via sub
Gonzaga via sub
McCully via split decision
Duffee via UD
Catone via UD
Dunham via tko
your picks?
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira via sub round 3
Thiago Silva via tko round 1
Demian Maia via sub round 2
Brandon Vera via UD
Chris Leben VIA tko round 3
Dana White wearing a Tshirt for a boogie boarding company, very interesting.
Leben by KO round 1 (i don’t like him, but I’m sure he’ll win)
Vera by KO round 2
Marquardt by UD
Jardine by UD
Nogueira by TKO round 2 (that’s right, I went there)
Haha I picked almost the exact opposite as you
Man i really just have to say this. I have gone back and forth on who is going to win this Nog v Couture. I really don’t know. This is probably one of the hardest picks in all of mma. Theres a lot of factors to throw in and who is going to show up for it. Nog only got stopped once by mir, but he was sick… Randy is wanting and needing this really bad. Its not that i dont think they can finish fights, i just dont see either of them getting finished. Damn this is going to be a great fight.
I’m taking Maia by devistating knockout
Has he ever landed a punch in a UFC match? I thinking Nate the Great will win via brutal KO, umm, mid second round.
I knew I should’ve bet more because I called this to a tee.
I’m not into making predictions, I just hope Nogueira can win tonight. Same for Maia. This will be an interesting card to wath.
Congrats to duffee
wow duffee got a fast ko. i cant wait to see it during the ppv. i thought he would win by ko, but i didnt think it would be that fast. the boy looked ready to rip someone’s head off during weigh-ins and he didnt disappoint. with this ko, he is on his way to making noise in the hw division, i called it yesterday on the comments about the weigh-ins.
“ON AUGUST 8, 2009 ANDERSON SILVA MADE FORREST GRIFFIN LOOK LIKE AN AMATEUR, AND ON AUGUST 8, 2009 GUNSLINGER MADE BIGCHRIS 2328 LOOK LIKE A CASUAL FAN ”
Wow, big ups to Duffee for setting the new UFC record.
I’m also really surprised at Maia getting KOed so quick. However, the fact that he got KOed when a solid shot was landed isn’t all that surprising.
Surprised at Leben v. Rosholt, I really didn’t think Rosholt was that good.
looks like randy lost on points

read nice play by play here
WOW Nate KO of Maia was probably the best KO of the year, hit him so hard he did like 2 360’s on the way to the ground, unfu#$ing beleivable
Um well tho it was a nice ko and props to Nate for that, but seriously there is not a chance that it was the KO of the year, but hey that is just imo
Jardine sucks, only good fight against Lidell, watch out for Duffee big meat head.
what a comment, misspelling Liddell and two quasi fighter bashing attempts awesome
not bad for my pics. thiago koes jardine like i called
You and Mk4 nailed that…nice pick dude
So I want to thank everyone who picked Maia tonight… it really helped me pay rent this month…(not anyone on here just in general)
I would have contributed….be the first to admit…
Disappointed in Maia…I guess people can stop talking about how Spider should fight him. All that said, Marquardt will lose in a rematch with Spider.
Disappointed slightly, with the losses of Maia, Jardine, Leben and Legendary Octagon Warrior; my picks went to sh!t. Was a great night fight-wise though, some of the best battles on one card I’ve seen in awhile. That makes up for it for me, directly after my love for the fighters comes my love for the battles. And battle-wise tonight was EPIC. Nice job to every fighter on the card tonight. (Except Maia!)
