WEC 43: Cerrone vs. Henderson on October 10 in San Antonio, Texas
World Extreme Cagefighting announced of Friday that it’s “WEC 43: Cerrone vs. Henderson” event which was originally slated to take place on September 2 in Youngstown, Ohio will instead take place on October 10 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The Versus-televised event is headlined by an interim lightweight championship matchup between 155-pound contenders Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson and marks the promotion’s first-ever Saturday event.
Tickets for the event, which was postponed last week after Henderson reportedly suffered an undisclosed injury, go on sale Friday, September 4 at 10am CT and are available through Ticketmaster.

Sucks for the Ohio (and PA) fans that this got moved. Good for the San Anonians, or whatever, though.
we prefer to be called… nothing really, san antonio is a crappy town, too many fat people and too many dammn restaurants and fast food joints. its hard to get a meal at a restaurant without it being deep fried, covered in sauce, or covered in cheese. and when you order something that is lacking those 3, they look at you weird. i highly discourage anyone from attempting to come to S.A. to sitesee or anything.
bada$$ that its in my hometown, but did anyone else notice that it is the same date that fedor is scheduled to make his strikeforce debut? WEC is owned by Zuffa if im not mistaken, very interesting. i know there are other dates open on saturday in october at the AT&T center. the spurs dont start until after halloween.

Well, Fedor got pushed back to November was last I saw, but I know Strikeforce had been talking about Fedor being on the 10. I think the Penn v. Sanchez fight is slated to go head to head with Fedor.
You mean I have to wait for my Faux-dor fix? Well, that just ruined my weekend.
The only thing that could ruin this weekend for me is if Faux-dor’s 30 man posse was checking in at my hotel here in Portland…

We’ve had a couple of UFC events in Columbus and one here in Cincy. Hopefully there will be another one coming in the next couple years.
Man I hope the Muhsin Crobbrey fight makes it to the main card. That guy is awesome to watch. His Mauy Thai vidoes over at Tiger Mauy Thai website are cool to watch.
