What a way to kick off the 2015 year for Paul Felder who won the biggest fight of his career in easily the most spectacular KO of the year thus far, but will most likely go down as one of the knockouts in the lightweight division.
Felder put his striking on display throughout the entire round and a half that this fight lasted as he crippled Castillo with blazing leg kicks. Castillo looked to be frustrated as he couldn’t get inside, nor could he get Felder anywhere close to the ground which is where the powerful wrestler shines. “The Irish Dragon” made full use of a lead check knee to keep Castillo away, but also used it offensively throughout much of the fight. Felder’s movement was also on full display as he used perfect footwork and head movement to dodge nearly all of Castillo’s powerful punches. The finish came in the second round when Castillo charged forward with his hands, but Felder had a spinning backfist in his pocket for him which put Castillo out cold.
A sensational win for Paul Felder who looks to be at an elite level already just based on his striking display on Danny Castillo. He showcased perfect head movement, defense, and of course a devastating striking game which contains lots of powerful taekwondo techniques. I can’t wait to see Felder move up in the lightweight division.
