Right on Kris… my Russian is limited but the pronunciations of things are completely different. Similar to how most people always pronounce Volkswagen with a V rather than an F sound. Stuff is always lost in translation.
Well, at least we’ve learned from this interview that Fedor actually KNOWS that there is an Internet out there, and that the MMA community is still talking about him.
Although each time I see Fedor, I become more and more convinced that the guy cares little for MMA, and sees the sport as simply a moneymaking venture to underwrite his and his handlers lifestyles and stay in shape for SAMBO, the sport he actually cares about, and in which he routinely faces and beats the best.
And yeah, Fedor has 3 times the experience and ten times the skill level of Brett “BA Barachus” Rogers, so I would expect an easy night for him, and an opening round submission victory over another outclassed opponent…
The guy seems very grounded and humble which is part of the reason why I respect the guy. Then again I don’t know russian so who knows what he is really saying.Keep waiting for him to break out the Dolph Lundgren ‘I fight for myself’ speech though.
goodbye brett rogers….fedor by ko rnd 1
I’m a glass still works kinda guy… Maybe there’s a bigger plan…yeah
Like, he get’s the Strikeforce belt and, (Dana talks smack)and then he fights in the UFC???
Or, maybe he should consider politics.
I would love nothing more for Fedor to get smashed “In a perfect world”. Unfortunately that won’t happen.
Fee-ay-dor?
Yeah Gar, the guy holding the mic was trying to be fancy, like when people call spaghetti pasta, or cars automobiles…
That’s actually a more correct pronunciation of his name than what is commonly said, but most just go the easy route.
And now we know, and knowing is half the battle!
Thanks Kris…

Absolutely agree about his lack of interest in MMA. Well put.
Kinda feels like in Clerks 2 when you are expecting some big revealing insight from Silent Bob and all you get is a “Uh I got nothing.”
