Seth Petruzelli Scores First-Round TKO in Return After Knockout of Kimbo
Seth Petruzelli returned to the cage on Saturday for the first time since his nationally-televised 14-second knockout of Kimbo Slice last October, earning a first-round TKO of Chris Baten in the main event of Art of Fighting 4 at the Sun Dome at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Petruzelli dropped Baten with an overhand right and followed with several more punches on the ground before the referee stopped the contest at 2:23 of the opening frame.
Petruzelli’s next fight is not yet scheduled, though he’s likely to receive multiple offers having won three-straight fights since leaving the UFC following an April 2007 loss to Wilson Gouveia.

tom lawlors walk in with seth petruzelli was hilarious
I wonder if Petruzelli’s chances of returning to the UFC depend on how well Kimbo Slice does?
If Slice gains some traction in the UFC, I can see Petruzelli being brought in for a rematch, although I’m sure the guy prefers fighting at LHW…
I find it odd that the UFC didn’t pounce on Petruzelli when he easily KO’d the beast du jour. I mean, David did eventually become the king of Isreal after he beat Goliath.
Instead Dana said something to the effect that Kimbo sucks so hard he can’t even beat an Ultimate Fighter reject. Dana should have spinned it in a way that the UFC is so great that even a fighter who didn’t make the cut beat Kimbo. Anyways, I hope the best for Seth and Kimbo and would love nothing more than to see the two battle once more in the Octagon.
*I know there are leaks out there on Kimbo’s Ultimate Fighter fight outcome, but let’s kindly not ruin it for those of us who want to enjoy the show live.
man how to do know about tuf10? fu**ing tell me!?
I remember pi$$ing off a bunch of Fedorians when I suggested that Seth Petruzelli was being brought for Affliction: Trilogy.
Good for him, maybe another couple of wins and he will find his way back to the UFC, if he so desires.
Then again TUF 10 is a bunch of standup cans that match well with Kimbo.. and a lone legitimate IFL fighter if I remember the lineup correctly.. LOL
