Gilbert Melendez: I Did Not Grease; Allegations Funny, Weak

Strikeforce interim lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez has responded through Sherdog to claims by Mitsuhiro Ishida that he greased in his third-round knockout win at Saturday’s “Carano vs. Cyborg” event in San Jose:
“I did not grease in the fight. The athletic commission was with me the whole time. I didn’t bring any grease with me. I didn’t think there was much grappling in the fight anyway. It’s kind of funny, but kind of weak. I beat him good and there’s no way I greased.”

Fighters / Grease will be as synonomous as Baseball Player / Steriods…
And frankly, I am sick of both…and I am not looking fwd to the next fighter who says his opponent was greasing… honestly, I am just venting my opinion now without reading this story… and I wont read it.. nor will I read any story about fighters greasing themselves… this is a joke..
I didn’t watch this fight, but just accusing someone of “greasing”, that’s a bold statement that you should back up with proof because your messing with someone’s reputation and questioning character, but if the dude did “grease up” then oh well…how will we know the truth anyway?
when there is video of Phil Nurse rubbing vasaline on you
