The accomplishments and accolades keep rolling in for Robbie Lawler, as following his championship victory at UFC 181, the powerful slugger has moved into the promotion’s pound-for-pound rankings.
Lawler, who took home the welterweight title on Saturday night by earning a split decision win over Johny Hendricks, has been voted into the #11 spot for the UFC’s P4P ranks. The now former champ Hendricks, dropped three positions and is sitting at #12.
Another big change took place in the lightweight ranks, as Khabib Nurmagomedov has moved up a spot and is now the #1 ranked contender. Gilbert Melendez, who was tapped out by champion Anthony Pettis at UFC 181, has moved down to #2.
And in the women’s bantamweight rankings, Raquel Pennington jumped up a spot and is now ranked #12, following her choke-out victory over Ashlee Evans-Smith.
The UFC rankings are voted on and determined by a panel of media members following each of the promotion’s events.
