Wanderlei Silva blasted the UFC during his retirement announcement, and following the cancellation of an autograph session with Bellator, the MMA legend’s done so again.

If you recall, earlier this month more than a few heads were turned throughout MMA, after Bellator announced that Silva would attend a pre-fight, meet-and-greet session. Not long after, and as some observers predicted would be the case, Bellator announced Silva would not be attending due to “contractual obligations.”

In other words, the consensus was that the UFC legal team quickly kyboshed the appearance, as although Silva’s retired, he hung up the gloves while under contract to the ZUFFA company.

Well, not surprisingly, the cancellation didn’t exactly sit well with Silva, as the mustached fighter relays in the video posted below.

When Silva announced his retirement, shortly before he was suspended for life by the Nevada Commission for skipping a pre-fight, drug test, he criticized the UFC for its treatment of fighters.

The former PRIDE champ cites the UFC’s alleged intervention in the Bellator appearance, as further proof of the promotion’s mistreatment of athletes.

The 38 year-old Silva retired from fighting armed with a 35-12-1 record, and having KO’d Brian Stann in his last bout.

The Brazilian was scheduled to fight Chael Sonnen earlier this year, but the latter failed two drug tests and was subsequently suspended for two years. Sonnen has also announced his retirement.

Silva also weigh-ins on Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum and “Rampage” Jackson in the vid.
