JoachimHansen According to rumors that have been making the rounds online Norwegian lightweight mixed martial artist Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen may sign with Zuffa. The reports are sketchy at best but I think it is safe to say that Zuffa is looking to sign “Hellboy” though he may opt to go to the WEC to fight in the 145 lb. featherweight division instead of the 155 lb. lightweight division in the UFC.

Hansen holds a 15-5-1 MMA record and fights out of Olso, Norway. Earlier in his career Hansen posted wins over Caol Uno and Takanori Gomi before coming moving to PRIDE Bushido and Shooto. After winning 3 straight bouts in the two organizations he was handed back-to-back losses from Hayato Sakurai and Tatsuya Kawajiri. After winning his next bout over Luiz Azeredo he was handed another loss, this time to Shinya Aoki. In his last MMA fight at PRIDE 33 Hansen was victorious defeating Jason Ireland by submission.

Despite the recent losses Hansen would add solid talent to whatever organization he ultimately opts to sign with.
