last night, i got 9 of my picks right for ufc 101. Lets see if i can work my magic again.
Garcia via tko
Castillo via UD
Mizugaki via tko
Cruz via split decision
torres via sub
Makes me wonder if Anderson Silva will show up tonight and KTFO Torres just to start some sh!t…
hahahaha
if you really wanted to make a bad joke why not go with Forrest was running to this event…
quick heads up Kris you listed the ratliff-cardella twice.
Damn Garcia’s a little worrior!…close fight good job Leonard!..
Watch out for Benavidez man im telling u this kid is gunna be special..he’s in a great camp and has a great work eithic…
garcia lost that fight IMO.
yeah that was a coin flip fight to me, very, very close.
what a opening round from Curran and Mizugaki!
Great round. 2nd round great so far
Mizugaki can bang!…he’s for real he went the distance with the champ for example..
This is a good fight. Really close. This last round should be good
curran… wow….
how the hell did mizugaki survive that triangle
that jap is tough as hell!!!
That fight is why I would like to see a different scoring system in place… Mizugaki definitely won under the current system but it’s hard for a grappler like myself to not want to see some benefit to fighting out of your guard the way Curran did. That was a clinic by both guys on ground fighting. Fight of the night so far!
Ya i agree. I honestly thought Curran might have won that fight after that great triangle attempt.
That fight was also pretty close. Props to Curran for being so active off his back and for constantly going for the submssion. Damn Mizugaki is tough.
One thing i have noticed the past week and tonight, is that alot of people are counting Cruz out against Benavidez. Cruz is a great, well rounded fighter and I really think he could beat Benavidez. Plus, hes from my hometown of Tucson,AZ 520!
has Cerrone been drinking…
Whiskey is the answer. hahah.
Lamas has some sick striking
actually meant Castillo… but yeah wow.
This is a kickboxing match haha straight up
WOW
here we go! cruz all the way
WHO CALLED THAT?!!? jenkins did. Cruz is for real. Ive been sayin it for over a year now
WOWWWWWW! torres is OUT. That was amazing
I am in total shock…woooooooooooowww
unreal bowels was hurt ad he just caught torres…damn that was fricken crazy..bowels is for real!!!!!..
torres omg ktfo
i was waiting for someone to take ANGEL out.., thanks brian. you really handled your business!
Wow props to Bowles that was an epic turnaround. Torres got knocked the hell out, I actually jumped off my couch when I was watching
wow disappointing. Jeff Curran definitely won. first round was close. second g’tine and 3rd triangle. he was fighting better from his back then mizugaki was by all means… id go as far as saying that jeff was wayyy ahead of him. half the time mizugaki was laying there.
Wow torres lost. 17 win streak ended
The guillotine wasn’t particularly effective though. Curran looked like he was hanging onto it while trying to get his body in proper position to finish. Curran is a smart enough BJJ guy to know the most common mistake on the guillotine is when people only use their arms to try and finish it, since if they don’t finish it(which w/ a seasoned grappler is hard to do) they have no arm strength from then on.
Can’t say Mizugaki wasn’t doing anything either, he was fighting off submissions effectively for most of the fight and was technically in control by blocking multiple sweeps and locks while maintaining top position. Under the current criteria it is win. However close it was or whether or not I wanted Big Frog to break his losing streak doesn’t keep me from admitting that. Even though I hate it…
great card though!
