Don Frye Out Of M-1 Global “Breakthrough” Headliner, Event Moved to Kansas City
Don Frye (pictured) has withdrawn from a matchup against Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal which was to headline M-1 Global’s August 28 “Breakthrough” event after the card was recently moved from Los Angeles to Kansas City.
Lawal announced Frye’s withdrawal and the location change in a recent video blog on YouTube.
“Don Frye pulled out because he didn’t like the location of the fight,” said Lawal. “It was originally supposed to be in Los Angeles, but I guess they moved it to Kansas City or something. I’m trying to still get that payday, so they’re going to find a replacement to take his spot.”
A new venue has not yet been announced for the HDNet-televised event and an opponent is currently being sought to take on Lawal in the evening’s main event.

If M-1 is doing the co-promo deal they need to stop putting on shows in the US . Leave that to Strikeforce , they are only making as$es of themselves at this point . let King Mo compete in the Lt heavy division and build himself up even more . I like this dude and he has that Brett Rogers aura around him . Plus even though he is just 4-0 (3ko) the guys he has fought are true vets with really good records .

Hope they do find a suitable replacement, Lawal has worked hard to get where he’s at. Also Frye was my original captain America, Tom Selleck resemblence or no. Maybe he’s getting cantankerous in his old age.
I had no idea “Ravishing” Rick Rude and Tom Selleck had a love child. Honestly, I know there’s been a lot of talk about bad posts, but I couldn’t help myself.

What??? They were on inside MMA, they even said they both knew it was moved, and they were going to, pretty weak on Don Frye if this is really the case.
I would of though it to be the other way around
