UFC 180 is just four days away, and chances are, you’re excited to watch Mark Hunt throw down with Fabricio Werdum, for the promotion’s interim heavyweight title. Even if you’re a Werdum fan, and want the well rounded fighter to win, even the biggest cynic would likely crack a smile if Hunt takes the belt. After all, we’re talking about a guy who is 40 years-old, and who just a few years ago, had his MMA career written off by just about everybody.
If you haven’t caught the “Countdown” segment for the headlining fight, it’s definitely worth a view. There’s some interesting footage of Werdum training in Mexico, as well as Hunt trying to get ready for the bout, while adjusting for the fact he’s doing so on short notice. The video is posted below.
If you recall, Werdum was originally scheduled to fight champion Cain Velasquez at the event, but the latter pulled out due to a knee injury.
UFC 180 will go down in Mexico City and will be available in North America via pay-per-view.
