I’m guessing that from here on out, UFC cards are going to be stuffed to the gills with decent match-ups.
And its about damned time…
thats a really good card imo. i think its safe to say winner of fisher-stevenson gets the loser of bj-kenny with a title shot being on the line. diego gets the next one after kenny.
okami, darth bader, AJ, machida-shogun, my boy carwin, cain. this card is loaded with top fighters. i might make the trip out to L.A. for this one and have a beer or 10 with Mr. FR702.
Stevenson has lost 3 of last 5. The LW division has a lot more to offer than to give Joe-Daddy another shot at it yet. He was beat pretty bad by all three, so I don’t see any of these rematches as very promotable. We’ll see. Go Spencer, represent NC.
bigchris2328, now be careful what you wish for and if you are being truthful in your desire to go to LA and have a few cold ones with me (which I’M completly absolutly down for lets do it) I need to warn you that I will be returning from a week spent in Vegas soo “I will be primed” forsure… But seriously we would have a great time plus there are going to be fights and such
This should be a good fight, but I see Stevenson taking it. I think both these guys won’t be looking at title shots anytime soon though, there’s guys at 155 who are actually on streaks right now.
i agree fisher is somewhat on a streak i think .
This card is amazing i’m looking forward to most of these matches lets go daddy!
stevonson will take this
Unless Stevenson gets caught going in, Fisher is going to get hooked and submitted probably in the late 2nd round…
Or unless Fisher somehow manage to keep the fight standing, where he will likely outbox Stevenson. I’m doubtful of that, though.
Absolutely.
If I were Fisher, I would work on my sprawl and brawl until I was numb with fatigue, and then I’d work on it a bit more.
Standing, Stevenson will finish this fight probably staring at the arena ceiling lights, but its hard to keep a grappler like Stevenson off of your legs for 15 minutes.
However, if Fisher can do just enough and be clever enough to work this thing to the scorer’s table, you never know…
I would normally pick stevenson as the easy favorite here. But I think Fisher’s takedown defence looked pretty solid against a great grappler in Uno.
With that said Stevenson has alot of power at that weight and when he does get a hold of Fisher up against the cage his single leg reverse-roll takdown that he does will work well for him.
His decent boxing and solid chin should see carry Joe through any exchanges on the feet, but its on the matt where he needs this fight to be and I thinkthats eventually where he will get it.
Rnd 2 sub doesnt sound to bad Jcohl, I might second that.
