Prior to joining the UFC, “OSP” went 5-1 during his time with Strikeforce, and since he moved to the Octagon, the powerful fighter has gone 4-1.
Now, St. Preux is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Ryan Bader in September, but what the video below demonstrates, is that the 205’er can finish fights. Not only that, but as Joe Rogan refers to in the segment, OSP can do so in a variety of ways.
Case in point, versus Nikita Krylov in March, St. Preux used a Von Flue Choke to give the light-heavyweight an early nap.
Of course, none of this means that Rua won’t be the consensus favorite when the two scrap at UFC FN 56, but it does show that OSP isn’t someone you should look past.
Saturday’s card will take place in Uberlandia, Brazil and will be available for viewing via UFC Fight Pass.
