I hope he ocnfirms tito’s return and vitor’s signing. I also hope he announces that other fighters will be joining the ufc. Who knows what to expect with everything that’s been going on but one things for sure, i’m NOT getting my hopes up about anything because everytime we wait for a “big announcment”, it’s always something we don’t expect.

Hopefully its a new line of collectable action figures…fingers crossed…the end

I hope this lives up to the hype… I’m sure looking forward to it.

UFC plans to have a great HW fight the day after M-1 Global begins their breakout series.

I think the UFC planned that well.

I think I’ll be watching both fight cards as I’m both Don Frye fan and a Big Nog fan for a long time now (I cannot believe Don is still taking matches… he needs to give it up and retire back to his advice column position :) ) .

ps– I was wondering why this site does not list the breakout event on the MMA schedule? It is a MMA event and that is an MMA listing (not UFC only or Strikeforce only etc). I know ppl don’t like M-1 around here so was this something just passed over or is it a statement about M-1 or something else, just curious. I hope it is something else or an oversite b/c if it is a slight that would be pretty petty.

I don’t think that the fact that some of the frenzied dislike M-1 Global and their business practices would keep this site from listing their event.
More than likely, its just an oversight, or maybe the frenzy is waiting to see if Fedor will fight at Breakthrough seeing as how his last gig didn’t pan out?

      • Justin says:

We also don’t include DREAM, or Sengoku on our “MMA Schedule” but we do include them on our Rumors page.

I will allow Kris to elaborate on reasoning if he so chooses.

As far as Barnett v. Fedor being at Breakthrough that is not possible because it will be in LA.

      • jcohl says:

I was also going to mention that I’ve never seen on the MMA schedule a listing for the now-defunct Palace Fighting Championships, or NAGA’s Reality Fighting division, or any of the other regional or local MMA promotions that dot the combat sport landscape…

      • Justin says:

Yes, well, we have our reasons as to why we don’t include the regional promotions, but again, I will defer to Kris as to whether or not that reasoning becomes public.

      • jcohl says:

Hey no worries or complaints here, Justin.
I’m sure you guys have your hands full just trying to cover the majors, so to speak…

  • yorkyid says:

You just know the HUGE news is in fact going to be not that important. But hey Dana can surprise!
Im definitely saying Vitor is back, but the when he says numerous, I can see them being not that important.
Watch me get proved totally wrong..

  • john lewis says:

fedor is supposed to make an announcement tomorrow, which is before dana’s. i hope he isnt going to announce where he is going because then it wont be the ufc… because there is no way in hell Dana will allow him to make the announcement of him going to the ufc and not get the glory of it….

  • Justin says:

There are some rumors that there could be as many as 20 fighters coming from Affliction to the UFC.

  • jcohl says:

Also, if Dana does hand out up to 20 contracts, he’s going to look like the sole power player in the industry.
The truth is that he already is, but those guys deluding themselves in Japan and Russia will have a hard time facing the mirror when Dana essentially cleans up Affliction’s mess…
