A foot injury has forced bantamweight Kenji Osawa to withdraw from his scheduled bout against Rani Yahya at WEC 42 on August 9 in Las Vegas, according to Versus.com.

John Hosman has agreed to replace Osawa and take on Yahya on short notice on the preliminary card of the Versus-televised event.

Yahya (13-4) suffered back-to-back losses to Chase Beebe and Norifumi Yamamoto in 2007 but has since bounced back with two-straight wins over Yoshiro Maeda and Eddie Wineland.

Hosman (15-4-1) has won seven-straight fights, most-recently defeating Billy Jochum at a Saturday event in Chicago.
