Only if those fighters are not signed with any other orgs. Since their contracts with Affliction were non-exclusive, it is entirely likely that some or all have signed other non-exclusive contracts.

Since the UFC doesn't do non-exclusive contracts (in regards to other MMA orgs, and I would believe K1 or other kickboxing groups), a lot of them won't make it over.

Vinz,

I think Scott Coker knows more about "buying" MMA contracts than you do, especially in the US. When Strikeforce purchased E-XC's assets, including contracts, they had to go to each fighter with a FRESH contract to sign. Some did, some didn't. Some used the opportunity to get a better deal.

In the US, personal services contracts are to my knowledge never transferable simply because the new owner is not signatory to the original contract. Allowing straight sales/transfers becomes tantamount to human trafficking, for lack of a better phrase.

More simply, contracts are binding between the parties which signed them. When one of those parties sells the contract, they are offering a new party a shot at the services but a new contract MUST be signed naming the parties involved. There is no guarantee that the new party will gain the services offered.

Love, dbiz

im sorry i dont think he is that good. his striking with the standup is not that good!!!!sorry i think he would beat mir again, but i also think mir could beat him. the way he beat heath is one thing. heath lost to jake obrien the same way dominated with better wrestling.heath was in a real close win that could of either way with congo. sorry heath does not ever look dominate anymore. randy c. cant take a hit like he was could.randy c is 16-9 and will be 16-10 after the nog. fight that does not impress me sorry.real beast fight everyone and still have great records. nog is like 30-5, dan henderson is another person who has always fought the best and is like25-7. if you think if he fights carwin, nog, fedor, oveerhem, crocop, even werdum or barnett,he would walk right through these guys your crazy!!!!!like i said i see loses in brocks future.

What type of blackmail is this? You can have fedor if we put are company in there too? No, your company is not a legit and recognized company, and the UFC doesnt co-promote. Give Fedor a three fight deal in the UFC. If anything Fedor's manager should just ask for alot of money too and be happy with that. M-1 Global is never going to launch, so what's the point of co-promoting with an upstart company from russia?

Didn't the former Pride owners just go create Dream? IMO the UFC did not get what they wanted at all when they killed Pride.. the Pride guys got a great deal.. A shit ton of money and they still have a great promotion for MMA.

After doing some research, I'm convinced that Strikeforce is using exactly the correct business and promotional model needed to thrive in today's MMA climate.
Competing with the UFC will get you killed, so it seems best to just try and consistently deliver a quality product, know your strengths and weaknesses, develop your own talent, and work hard to improve your organization.

And in all honestly I think Strikeforce has a decent shot of getting a Fedor appearance. Not immediately, because I think Fedor's next appearance will be at M-1 Breakthrough, probably against Pat Miletich or Guy Metzger or someone equally unable to cause him to break a sweat, but next year, and maybe in a bout with Brett Rogers, if he isn't in the UFC by then...
