Now sure, none of the information to follow means Georges St-Pierre is in fact ready to return to the UFC, but it’s certainly one more piece in the fighter’s comeback puzzle.
Just a few days ago, Dana White revealed that St-Pierre had been cleared to resume training, after he underwent another knee surgery earlier this year. While GSP hasn’t said whether he’s coming back to the UFC, clearly the former welterweight champ needs to feel like he can perform at a top level, before he makes any official announcement (yes, assuming he’s leaning towards fighting again).
Well on Monday, St-Pierre’s head coach at Tristar, Mr. Firas Zahabi, tweeted out the following:

One would think that if the 33 year-old fighter continues to train, and things go well, then perhaps we’ll hear either way, if and when “Rush” is coming back.
It certainly feels like he’ll be back in the Octagon next year though no?
