The line-up for Mexico City’s UFC 180 has lost one of that nation’s top fighters, as the promotion has announced that Erik Perez will no longer compete on the November 15th card.

Perez was set to fight Marcus Brimage at the event, but due to his withdrawal, the latter will now fight Jumabieke Tuerxun at UFC Fight Night 55 on November 8th.

Tuerxun was originally scheduled to fight Patrick Williams at the Sydney, Australia bound event, but he’s also dropped out due to injury.

MMA Fighting.com has confirmed that Perez was forced to withdraw due to a shoulder injury, after Indiscutido first reported the news.

Brimage (6-3) will be looking to get back on track after losses to Conor McGregor and Russell Doane, while Tuerxun (14-2) has dropped consecutive fights to Mark Eddiva and Leandro Issa.

UFC FN 55 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping.
