UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar13 fighters from the 11-bout UFC 100 card, which took place last Saturday and the Mandalay Events Center in Las Vegas, were tested by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for steroids and drugs of abuse and all of the tests were negative according to NSAC executive director Keith Kizer, who confirmed the results to MMAFrenzy.com on Friday.

The UFC 100 fighters which were tested were Frank Mir, Brock Lesnar, Georges St-Pierre, Thiago Alves, Shannon Gugerty, Jon Fitch, Dan Henderson, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Mark Coleman, Tom Lawlor, Jon Jones, Dong Hyun Kim, and Dan Miller.

All of the fighters except Mir and Alves, who co-headlined the event against Lesnar and St-Pierre respectively, were winners at the pay-per-view event.

Yo someone educate me. Are these fighters the only fighters tested? Or did they test everyone and the article just posted the winners of ufc 100?

  • Good to know that Brock kicked Frank Mir’s a$$ fair and wasn’t on any roids like a lor of people were speculating. Nice to see that fighters keep testing clean especially in this time where the sport is growing more and keeps gaining more spotlight.

As much as I can’t stand the fact that a person like Brock Lesnar has found success in the UFC, I hope this puts to rest all that talk about him being “juiced up” and thats why he has garganutan size and strength and on occasion “cage rage”.
Am I happy that he beat Mir. Absolutely not.
Am I happy he did it cleanly? Absolutely.
    Congratulations to the new champion.

    OMG! CL34RLY D4N4 is P4Y!NG T3H T3ST3R$ BC BROK IS 2 HUG3 TO NOT B3 JU!C!NG!!!!

That hurt. And now no one else needs to say it.

Well, everyone knows a roid cycle can be completed and then flushed 2-3 weeks before a fight. They test immediately before a test for weight loss supps and immediately after for everything. There needs to be random tests for everyone on the UFC roster. That would make the claims of being drug free more believable. Just my opinion.

    • fr702 says:

they do have “random test” prefight (weeks before the card), soo ya the accusations are going to happen, but the guys tested clean in the pre fight tests and post fight what more would you like?

      • White_Boy says:

When did these random drug tests start happening? I know they have prefight tests, but I’m talking about random for anyone on the UFC roster. Anytime, like everyone has at real jobs.

I think its kind of funny that I spent days leading up to UFC 100 hammering Lesnar on everything from his sense of sportsmanship, or lack thereof, to his hideous walkout wear, and not once did it occur to me to simply accuse him of taking PEDs without any sort of proof or justification whatsoever…

      • Kris Karkoski says:

The random “out of competition” screenings started in Nevada maybe a year ago I’d say. There weren’t any done for UFC 100, which was unusual, but usually they do a couple a card, mainly targeting past offenders or headliners.

      • White_Boy says:

Kris, thanks for the clarification. I didn’t know that.

      • White_Boy says:

        Jcohl,
Would you please indicate where in my post, I accused lesnar of “him of taking PEDs without any sort of proof or justification whatsoever…”?

  • jcohl says:

White_boy, I wasn’t specifically targeting you, and apologize if it seemed that way. I was simply noting that there are a lot of ways to take Brock Lesnar to task for being bad for our sport, and I’ve used almost all of them, at great length, in ther days leading up to UFC 100.
My point here is lets hammer Lesnar for the things hes does, and for the things he doesn’t do, that we KNOW of, and not for something we can only suspect.

I should have posted my comments not as a reply to your comment, which was my mistake.
    Again, my apologies.
