yea drew mcfedries has some heavy hands! but people are forgetting that tomasz drwal has some heavy hands too! he almost put thiago silva to sleep if it wasn’t for his cardio… Drwal by Vicious KO! I like the move to MW by Drwal he looked out of shape and had poor cardio in LHW but with a lot of power

no doubt mcfedries vs travolta will be a good fight…but i would have much rather watched my boy james irvin vs mcfedries(theres a 99% chance that fight wouldnt go past 20 seconds)

There are some heavy hands at 185 though, pretty sure cote, mcfedries and A. Silva knock some pretty good blocks off.

L1E4X5 – the consensus top of the UFC LHW division is Machida as champ, and then you have a pile-up of Jackson, Evans, Griffin, and Rua. Somewhere in there is Keith Jardine, Wanderlei Silva [before dropping to 185], Brandon Vera, and now Rich Franklin.
Where exactly do you see Thiago Silva ranking amongst those names?
Most likely no higher than 5, best case scenario. I don’t know about you, but I don’t consider being ranked #5 the “top of the division” in any weight class, regardless of how stacked it may be.

Not to call you out or anything, just trying to answer your question.

It’s one thing to lose a decision or have to tap, but getting knocked into the middle of next week or slammed thru the mat by someone like Rampage is a pretty daunting propostion even for the heartiest competitor…

dangerous matchup for drawl, mcfriedes has some very heavy hands. i saw what he did to the X-man a few events back. i think drawl dropped to 185 because he didnt want to get vicisously ko’d by the top dogs at 205, at 185 he might get ko’d by hendo, but not brutally by the others.

Good point, but I had thought maybe because that was almost 2 years ago it wasn’t as much as a factor, but you’re probably right.
However if Drwal loses to McFedries, I wonder what he does then?
No disrespect to Drew McFedries, but he’s by no means the top of the MW division…
