Here the “precautionary reasons” are to check for concussions and to allow for any post-concussions symptoms to work themselves out before he gets back into any contact training.

no sexy time until januaray, that sucks, my brother had that injury happen to him and it took 9 months to heal, he still doesnt see 100% out of that eye. hopefully gsp uses the time off to bulk up and make the move to 185. if im correct he says he walks around at 183-184 to rogan. maybe he could put on 5-10 pounds of quality muscle.

So anyone else think it’s weird that bisping’s suspension is for “precautionary reasons” when that is the sole reason for any fighters medical suspension outside of a real injury? It is almost like it was meant to say “yes the KO was horribly violent and everyone should cringe… but he’s ok! no need to worry” lol.

Poor Count Bisping.

Seriously though poor GSP. He is way too polite. He’s there standing for an interview with Joe Rogan when he’s in horrid pain. That guy is a stud.

Speaking of Gugerty’s injury, I have a question as I did not see his fight.
Did he somehow catch an awkward kick in the back or something? Was he run into the cage especially hard? Did he land forcefully on a throw or takedown?
That is to say, more forcefully that usual?
Just curious, because I’ve never seen or heard of a medical suspension for a back injury before..

Yeah, I would imagine that is a common complaint, but for it to be so bad it requires a medical suspension is well… not good.

Lower back pain’s something I’m all too familiar with, but I’d image it’s fairly common it the fight game just not often mentioned as a reason for suspension.
