UFC 100 Main Event Salaries: Lesnar Receives $400,000; Mir Could Earn $90K with Victory
Win or lose in his UFC 100 main event bout against interim title-holder Frank Mir, UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is guaranteed to be one of the top earners at the pay-per-view event, receiving $400,000 to show for the headlining heavyweight unification rematch.
The main event salaries were disclosed on Saturday by Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole via Twitter.
Mir would make $90,000 ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win) should he defeat Lesnar for the second-straight time.
UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre could tie Lesnar atop the event’s official payroll with a win over challenger Thiago Alves, as he’s slated to make $200,000 to show and an additional $200,000 to win the co-headliner.
The official salaries for Lesnar-Mir, GSP-Alves, and Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping are:
- Brock Lesnar ($400,000 to show) vs. Frank Mir ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win)
- Georges St-Pierre ($200,000 to show, $200,000 to win) vs. Thiago Alves ($60,000 to show, $60,000 to win)

That is a tad bit ridiculous to be paying that man 400,000 just to show.
You have to understand Brock makes a lot more than that for Dana just by showing up tonight. The real winner here is Dana White, although Brock is also a winner with getting money like that thrown at him.
I couldn’t agree more.
The thought that Lesnar is being paid TEN TIMES more that Mir, and is ONE TENTH the fighter, sort of makes me sick, and embarrassed for Dana White and the UFC…
I agree, 400,000 for a guy who has only fought 3 times??
He is the main draw for the card .. admit it or not, Lesnar has the name that people pay for. Mir won’t draw 10% of the PPV buys that Brock will.
Right or wrong, the UFC owners know good business.
very true your daddy
I love that Bisping got knocked out. He’s been a joke all along IMHO. It was obvious that Dana White was trying to grow the sport internationally, and who can blame him, and had been soft serving Bisping fights all along. The first time he faces a real competitor – KO! Bisping wouldn’t have been so bad, except the starting believing he was good. Personally, I still trying to figure out how Lesner got a shot at the title w/o paying any dues anyway. I hope Mir breaks his leg.
I don’t think this is the first time he’s faced a “real” competitor. Rashad is a real fighter as is Matt Hamil (regardless of opinion on who won.) and Chris Leben is definatly a fighter. I don’t get why so many ppl hate this guy, yeah he’s a bit cocky but you have to admit (whether you like it or not) he’s a good solid fighter that brings it every time he fights. I think we’ll all see a big change in him soon, now that he’s really been rocked. One way or the other, Bisping is gonna be different
Its really too bad that Dana White has decided to let Lesnar in the UFC just when it was becoming a legitamate sport. Now we’re back to no weight class and guys with absolutely no talent what so ever except for the fact that they out weigh everyone else and bull rush them.
Lesnar… what a tool. Couldn’t agree more with the comment about him setting the sport back.
Think of the sport as a baby just learning to walk. Sometimes the baby does ok moving forward, and sometimes the baby falls backwards on its ass.
Brock Lesnar is a step backwards for the sport, not forwards, regardless of whether or not he beat Mir tonight.
Whatever you say about Lesnar the fact is he is the main draw for the sport at this time. He not only beat Mir he dominated him. Does he still have the WWE mentality…yea. But people will still be paying out the wahzoo until Anderson Silva or Fedor decides to beat him at a catch weight. Love it or leave it this is the sport, only the strongest survive and at this time his name is Lesnar.
Guys….you are bashing Brock on his actions outside of fighting……he smoked 2 2x Heavyweight Champions. You can say all you want he didn’t deserve it, but who does in the HW division? It is the weakest division. And remember, Anderson Silva only had one fight in the UFC before getting a title shot. Looking at Lesnar’s fights, he was only in trouble one time. He is a beast and punishes dudes.
But Anderson Silva was a known quantity. He had fights before the UFC and you know you were getting a serious fighter. He was 15-4 and another org’s middleweight champion when he arrived.
And to the guy talking about Silva fighting Lesnar at a catch weight…seriously? You think Brock CAN cut to a catch weight? Please… Even if he could, he wouldn’t. He would have too much to lose, and he showed beyond a shadow of a doubt last night that he isn’t interested in anything but the wallet.
Last time I checked dbiz, Lesnar is legit!!!!
Bisping $150,000 to show? Wow, what a waste of Money. I would have gave him $20,000 max.
brock might be champ he has no real concept of what champion should be act like . he needs to learn the rules he repeatedly hit mir in the back of the head at the end of the fight
Why are there so many broc bashers? I have never really known who he was until a few months ago. So I havent been a fan as of yet. But after that beating he gave mir last night, Broc is in my top 5 favorites along with GSP and Machida. Every one I know loves Broc and people talk about him everyday whether they are fans or not. He brings in more pay per view sales then all of the top fighters combined. He might be the biggest, baddest, alpha male in the world. I used to believe it was fedor. But after last night I think Broc could beat fedor and if he keeps traing he might have to start fighting lions, tiger, and bears…Why hate the strongest and biggest man on the planet…..Saying he has not talen or skill, or that the ufc is taking a step back is crazy….if he is not talented……who can beat him??? name someone…..???? Would you fight him? I wouldnt fight him if you paid me 3 million dollars. His punches are so powerful he would knock out the average guy in one punch….Broc is like a viking from the movie highlander and his dad plays in the movie King Arthur….lol….
any experienced fighter who WEIGHS AS MUCH AS HIM WILL WHUPP HIS TUCHAS.
He is much heavier than any of his opponents.
bring in dan severn?
butter bean?’
how much does coleman weigh?
fedor might be too light to win.
I responded to this already, in this comment.
Not even gonna dignify it
BROCK is amazing! He destroys everyone, maybe ever Fedor?? Dana said he is gonna get that fight for us and when he does, it will be the biggest draw in the history of the mma, along with gsp vs spider. People can hate all they want to, but the fact of the matter is that people pay to see a man that big, destroy all these guys who think they know how to do little jui-jitsu moves, or stand up spins and kicks. Brock is a gladiator who just whips you to the ground and beats your face until you look like a balloon. GSP and Brock are amazing!! UFC is growing because of Brock, not setting it back.
Well at first I wasn’t too happy about Brock getting Main event his first fight. I have been impressed with his fighting. Sure he got a title defence quickly. But the UFC HW division is a very weak division.
I have also heard people mention that there should be a “requirement” before being allowed to fight in the UFC. That you should have at least 10-15 profights before even being allowed in the UFC.
So that means they would have had to feed Brock 15 “noname” HW’s, for him to pound on, waste a few months.
I also find it strange that when you take Bobby Lashley, another extremely powerful wrestler. He is doing it the opposite way of Brock, slowly working his way up. Yet! People are pissed at that approach too. Complaining “why don’t they get lashley to fight someone better?”
I would like to see Brock fight Tim Silvia, I know that might be hard to arrange with contracts unfortunately. Brock has always fought guys 30-40 pounds ligter in the UFC. He doesn’t actually way 265, he cuts about 25 pounds to do that. So by fight time he is between 285-290.
Mir came to the weighin at 245. Since he is nowhere near the upper limit of heavyweigh (265) he wouldn’t worry about cutting any weight. It is likely that Mir probably even chugged a 2-litre bottle of water, right before weigh-in. So at fight time he was probably 240. They need to break the weight-class in half 205-235 and 235-265.
MAN THAT WAS PURE DOMINANCE BY GSP WHO COULD BE NEXT I THINK THE ONLY OTHER THING IS TO MOVE UP AND FIGHT ANDERSON SILVA!!!!!
GSP is my favorite fighter ever since his first loss to Matt Hughes way back in the day. He is the closest thing to the real life version of Jean Claude Van Dame, even has the accent down, haha
hahahahaha that is very true!!!! i dont see how people can dislike that guy he is a classy guy very respectful.
Lesnar is a beast!! He’s only fought 4 times but he sells tx. and gets pay per view buys.
Mir 45k is bull Sh**
Lesnar seems to put fannies in the seats. That’s what it’s all about.
He looks like a beast, fights like a beast, and last night showed that he can act like a beast. If there was ever a heel in MMA it’s him.
I wonder how the salary compares to his WWE days?
THIS INFO IS WRONG!!!
Brock was paid 3MILLION for this fight!!!

if you dont believe me!
“No one and nothing was spared. Lesnar even turned his attention to the UFC itself, which paid him an estimated $3 million for the fight, “
This article is merely covering the disclosed payouts that the fighters received, or to quote the article directly “The official salaries”. The yahoo article you linked is referring to estimated total salary, including non-official undisclosed salaries. Our information is not wrong, it just doesn’t cover the non official undisclosed payouts.
wow, bisping makes more than mir.
wow.
did i mentiom…
wow.
i think its an insult to pay mir so little.
who’s his manager?
I think it’s an insult that you have Che Guevara as your avatar, who’s your manager?
*clap* *clap* that is awesome^^^^ it would seem justin is on the same level as me here ive always hated che guevara and all the praise he gets from some people
I really hate when people support ernesto “che” guevara because about 95% of people who wear his tshirts or support his image have zero idea who he is and what he actually did during his life…..he was a sick human being and he hated the united states of america…theres really no reason anyone should support him…but for some reason little punks believe he is some image of bravery and believe he is a hero for some reason…..but all he is , is a glorified image of counter culture and Anti-Americanism
All because of Rage Against the Machine. The guy was a Terrorist.
Mir is a ex-champion and already had a win over Lesnar yet gets only 45K to show compared to Lesnars 400K …. thats just wrong. And why does Hendo get less to show that Bisping. Hendo has taken on the best in the sport over many years. Who has Bisping fought or even beaten??? Come on Dana, take care of the guys that have proven themselves and made the sport great.
