Michael BispingUFC 100, the UFC’s blockbuster event which goes down this Saturday in Las Vegas, will air live in the UK as promised, though not on Virgin 1 as had been heavily speculated in recent weeks since the promotion’s original broadcast partner Setanta Sports entered administration late last month.

The UFC today announced that the event will air live and free in the UK on Sky channel 433 and will also be available for free on UK.UFC.com.

UFC 100 will also air live in Northern Ireland and Eire on Setanta Ireland.

Both networks will feature UFC-only programming for 9 hours beginning on Saturday at 3pm local time, airing all five episodes of the UFC’s “Top 100 Fights” series as well as the “Countdown to UFC 100″ event preview show, followed by the live fight card, which begins at 3am.

UFC 100 is headlined by a heavyweight championship unification and rematch between title-holders Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar, and also features UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre defending his title against Thiago Alves and the anticipated match between TUF 9 coaches Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson.

Stay tuned to MMAFrenzy.com all weekend for comprehensive UFC 100 coverage, including tomorrow’s UFC 100 weigh-ins, live results from Saturday’s 11-bout card, and extensive post-event news.

i think us americans have earned us some free ufc cards….i think we need a huge free card after the uk gets 100 free…i understand they need the american ppv buys but we neeed to be rewarded with at least 103 free since its the smallest out of 101,102,103 and 104

  • kieron brown says:

about time its gonna be shown in the UK! Cant wait! come on Bisping and come on Alves

    • EtherBunny says:

Sorry broseph, I just can’t see Bisping coming out on top against Hendo. I’ve played it out in my mind at least 10 times and I just can’t see it happening but then again, everyone does have a punchers chance.

      • BigWorthy says:

Hendo has never been fast more to the point he is a one punch wonder. He was top of pride when MMA was pre the evolution it is becoming now, and he also lost his last fight no matter what the judge’s decision was! Don’t get me wrong I think hendo is an amazing athlete but bisping is young, fast, hard to keep on the mat and most fundamentally a kick ass, CRUMPET EATING ,TEA DRINK, BRIT!
        That’s just my 50p.

  • The UK gets to see Bisping get his a$$ handed to him for free, good stuff.

why can’t we go to UK.UFC.com., and watch the fight for free from here?

    • dbiz says:

IP limiting. Only UK-based IPs will be allowed access to the stream. Now, if you know much about http proxies, you may be able to fudge it, but this is definitely a card worth paying for.

  • Gunslinger says:

it knows if your computer is in america or not

  • JOHNBOY says:

i do feel for u guys haveing to pay for it but ide defo pay if i had to, im sure the time will come wen we have to start paying for them, can’t wait for this card ide like to see mir and alves win but i think gsp an lesnar will win, i no im english an byas but i belive bisping will beat hendo. in my eyes franklin beat hendo an in his last few fights i think hes looking to slow i can see the count knocking him out via headkick!! i hope we get to see the jon jones fight too that guy is a beast!!

  • But you know what, paying for this on PPV makes it more special and more of an event for me personaly. If i could see it for free i would of course, but i would think to myself, if i miss it i can watch the replay..you know what i mean…so buying the PPV makes the event bigger IMO, but that’s just me MK4, the one and only MK4 :D

  • Matt says:

433 channel it aint showin up yet its just sayin programmes start on monday :O

  • windmiller says:

to get to watch this ppv it is not just 44.95! its $65-$100 a month for cable then at least $10 to have the ppv box, then i get to pay my 44.95. or i can go to an over crowded bar and listen to a bunch of “tools” call some of the best fighters in the world homos because they are using “ground game” it just sucks, i really want to see it

    • dbiz says:

So you wouldn’t have cable except for the UFC PPVs? I mean, if that’s the only reason you have cable…well, that’s just not very bright. Especially since some of your friends must have cable. In which cse, it’s $44.95 max. Split the cost it’s less.

As I briefly mentioned up top there, you could go about getting it for free off uk.ufc.com, but it’s gonna take some research and a wee bit of learning. But, if not getting cable makes that worth it to you, knock yourself out.

I suspect you already have cable, though. You probably already have the box, and the upper tier digital package. So it’ll cost you $44.95 if you don’t split with friends.

You just wanted to **** and moan.

      • Justin says:

Also, if you don’t have cable, and don’t want to get cable, you can purchase UFC 100 at http://www.ufclive.com and you’ll get to see the prelims.

      • jcohl says:

        “Split with friends”…
The next time one of my friends reaches into his pocket to kick in for a share of a PPV, or offer to spring for beers or chow, will be the first time, and I’ll probably drop dead of shock.

Maybe I need new friends to go along with my new favorite MMA website…

  • marine 1 says:

    Henderson ko rd 2
    St. Piere submission rd 3
    Mir ko rd 1
(Lesner hasn’t got hit yet remember that mir is gonna shock us)

Further note I think Coleman will upset bonner
    I got Belcher by ko
    Fitch by dec

and surprising but I think the Obrien Jones fight could be a great one

  • Brock via tko or ko in the 2nd or 3rd round

St. Pierre via tko or sub in the 3rd or 4rth round

Henderson via ko or tko in the 2nd or 3rd round

Thiago via sub or tko in the 3rd

Bonnar via tko or sub in the 2nd

i don’t think that Mir’s stand-up is as good as he makes it out to be, he’s getting ko’d if he tries to stand with Brock
