Nice. I did miss this last night and will be watching it tonight on UFC.com and no need for the live coverage as I will be sitting at BWW at 5pm in preperations for the fights.

ya i just watched it this morning on ufc.com because i forgot about it last night and missed everything but the last 5 mins of it

It was more like countdown to Lesnar vs. Mir with a few clips of GSP vs. Alves and Henderson vs. Bisping.

Already watched on Comcast On Demand. They have UFC stuff now.

That’s awesome man. I’m stuck with TimeWarner Cable. I think I’m going to boycott them as soon as I move out of my current apt because they discontinued HDNet. I was so incredibly pissed when they did that.

I can honestly say that i don’t recall anyone talking as much shiit as frank mir has for this fight, in a long time! Brock looks pissed! I wouldn’t want to be frank mir this saturday.

Oh, I totally agree. I read some interviews that he has done and also watched his mini-interview on UFC.com. He’s always been very cocky though. Did you see his face on the UFC Top 100 fights show? The whole left side of his forehead was swollen and his eye was dotted.

      • etherbunny says:

Wait…it was the right side of his face.

I actually think that Brock Lesnar being pi$$ed helps Frank Mir’s chances, Jazzkok, and I’ll explain why:

No one in their right mind thinks that Mir can match Lesnar’s Neanderthalic power, wrestling, and presumed post-takedown g-n-p, but he does have the edge in experience, more accurate striking, which I base off of the Nog fight, cage command and the submission game.
If Mir can get Lesnar to lose his focus in the cage, maybe with a few hard shots to the face or a couple well-placed kicks to the side of Lesnar’s knee, all the while moving in and out of range and using angles and precision striking to keep Lesnar off-balance, he can possibly provoke the Vanilla Gorilla to go ape-$hit, become overaggressive and commit to a bad position again.
Once in a bad position, it shouldn’t be too difficult for a BJJ guy like Mir to hook and submit Lesnar a second time.

Also, this is incidentally most likely the only way Mir can beat Lesnar a second time IMO. If he turns it into a stand-up fight, he’ll eventually get caught, bum-rushed into the cage, taken down and pounded out by Lesnar. Mir won’t be able to out-wrestle Lesnar, given Lesnar’s legitimate credentials, and I doubt neither man has the cardio for a 5 round war of attrition, which Mir would most likely lose in a UD. I do think that Mir should try to at least take it to round 3, because Lesnar’s going to be carrying something like 280 in the cage come fight night, and in the Couture fight he seemed to be gassing a bit at around the 7 and a half minute mark.
Even though it’s an old MMA cliche, this fight is simply a matter for Mir of getting Lesnar to tap or snap, otherwise he’s going home with an “L”…

That swelling and black eye was from a head clash with Forrest Griffin during training.
