Tim Credeur

A middleweight bout between Tim Credeur and Nate Quarry and a lightweight fight between Kyle Bradley and Sam Stout has been booked for UFC Fight Night 19 on September 16 in Oklahoma City.

MMAjunkie first reported both matchups on Tuesday, with the fights expected to be finalized shortly.

Credeur (12-2), whose only career loses came at the hands of Joey Villasenor and Chael Sonnen, is currently riding a 6-fight win streak, including 3-straight UFC victories over Cale Yarbrough, Nate Loughran, and Nick Catone. Quarry (11-3), a winner of 7 of his last 9 fights dating back to 2003, bounced back from a November loss to Demian Maia with an impressive first-round TKO of Jason MacDonald in April.

Despite back-to-back losses to Chris Lytle and Joe Lauzon to start his UFC career, Bradley (14-6) was booked for a third UFC bout against Phillipe Nover, winning the fight via first-round TKO. Stout (14-5-1), who has won three “Fight of the Night” awards since debuting with the promotion in 2006, was most-recently in action in April, defeating Matt Wiman via unanimous decision.

Credeur-Quarry and Bradley-Stout join Roger Huerta vs. Gray Maynard, Dan Miller vs. Aaron Simpson, Chris Wilson vs. Mike Pyle, and Jeremy Stephens vs. Ronny Torres on the rumored lineup for the Spike-televised event.

credeur wins IMO- his unorthodox stand up is very hard to read

stout wins IMO- he is just alot better than kyle bradley in every way except in speed…bradley is crazy fast thats really all he has though

  • fr702 says:

two decent fights right here, I’m not a huge fan of Stout but hey the kid brings what he can to the table every time..

  • Turk says:

Credeur will get KO early, his stand up isn’t as good as Quarry and I don’t care for either fighter. Just in my eyes.

Stout same thing a better more technical striker should win a decision.

  • mikewh says:

Im a big fan of Stout and fighters like him who bring it 100% every fight. What Sam lacks in speed he makes up for in power and heart, remember Stout/Fisher bouts, i could watch those two fights over and over…it’s what MMA should be, exciting stuff.

    • LMac says:

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Sam Stout is my favorite fighter in the UFC because of his die-hard attitude. I can only hope that he gets another crack at Kenny Florian…Stout; a fighter through and through…and Florian; a technically sound striker with an underrated ground game…I’d be willing to bet that it’d be a different fight now that Stout has the Wiman fight and soon to be Kyle Bradley fight under his belt. You’re my boy Sam!

  • jcohl says:

Really sounds like they are working to sweeten the deal on UFN 19.
    Two solids fights, for sure.
Both Quarry and Credeur are on hot streaks, and it’ll be interesting to see who derails who, but IMO Credeur should win this, as he appears to be more well-rounded…

  • gunslinger says:

credeur is from the south!…..i just like him he’s a nice guy and his standup just seems like it could give quarry some problems

    • carls says:

It likely will give Quarry some problems. Quarry has never been an elite striker. Just a good one. Even Sell was giving him problems on the feet before he got KO’d. Tim will also have a height and reach advantage in this fight. Should be a good exchange of fisticuffs though.
I see a KO for stout. The guy has one of the best chins in the division, and Bradley has one of the worst. THAT my friends will be the difference maker.

  • bigchris2328 says:

this card looks damn good, im picking “the rock” and “hands of stone”. both guys bring it everytime and they may not be the most talented, but they never quit. stout-fisher fights were amazing and nate is a tough mofo.

  • Justin says:

I think Quarry wins this one on experience, and I think his striking will be better. If Credeur proves me wrong, good for him though, I kinda liked the guy.

Stout v. Bradley I haven’t made up my mind, but I’m leaning towards Stout.

  • gunslinger says:

i think stout will win but im having doubts because bradley actually did look very good last fight

  • gunslinger says:

i can see where some people would say it was early and i can see where some would say it wasnt because he did go out for a split second…..but i kinda wanted to see a rematch….maybe well see it if stout rocks him

  • Oldman420 says:

Yea, Stout is the man, I even loved watching him when he fought in TKO. The guys is just game for a war, Stout TKO rnd 2.

I’m the the fence with Tim and Nate, both great guys with lots of heart. Credeur’s only weakness is wrestlers, Sonnen owned him in bodog. I think Quarry has an alright ground game too, if he works the gnp he will win. On the other hand if he lets Credeur turn this fight into a brawl with lots of scrambles and can see him winning by armbar or a UD. Good matchup though.
