No, you're wrong.

Brian Cobb, Neil Grove, Stefan Struve, and Denis Stojnic all were given four fight contracts with a clause that they must win in the first two to continue on in that contract. And that's just off the top of my head without doing any research into the other initial contracts fighters have been given.

Il go with Razak for sure. I dont feel that Kyle is realy that good in any area. Where as Al-Hassan has pretty deccent strikes, which is what I think will be the difference maker.

its like justin said newbie fighters who arent a big name coming over from another organization are in the must win one in their first two fights or their cut situation. if the guy loses his first two like hendo did, but is a huge draw/name then they get the benefit of the doubt. plus when the guy is in the top 10 in his division and still drops two in a row you have to let him slide, shoot facing two top 5 guys in any division and being expected to win one out of two fights is hard as hell, just ask hendo. he lost to rampage and anderson. not that many people have beaten either guy, also wandy has lost 3 out of 4. theres so much pressure on young guys/inexperienced guys to win in the ufc, but they are facing guys in the exact same position they are in which is win or find a new job.

if a guy comes out and doesnt quit and is pressing the action the entire fight, win or lose they stay because they are "exciting" and the ufc can count on them to put on a show. they may not be the most gifted in any one aspect, but if a guy never quits and always shows up they will/should have a spot on the ufc roster. i.e. forrest, guida, wandy, leben[these are not the only guys that do this]. I have yet to see a chris leben fight where the guy quits and gives up, he may take a beating but he keeps coming at you, just like the other guys.

with the absence of pride there really isnt another top level place where guys can get experience against world class talent. sure there is strikeforce and dream, but if you take any champion from any division out of those two and put them in the ufc they cant hang with the top 5 in the ufc. possible exceptions are fedor, barnett, overreem. there is a big gap between the talent in other organizations and the ufc. a few years ago the best in the ufc got murdered in pride, now the tables have turned.

If you read my first paragraph in the article, you can see what I think about that possibility. Usually the UFC gives new fighters a four fight contract with a "must get a win in the first two fights" clause, Mike C. seems to have been the only exception to that rule (as far as non-stars go, Henderson lost his first two) since he went 1-1 and still found himself on the outside looking in.
