i completly agree with the Silva comment, machida has gotten wayyyy better at being exciting to watch. I think I would have thrown GSP in there as a candidate intsteadof Silva after those two crap fights he had. I think Silva will rebound big when he fights Griffin cause he’ll have no choice but to bang. Griffin isn’t going in there looking for the fight to go to decision.

Mosley should win the way he beat Margacheato down was a thing of beauty but it’s obvious Manny wins so he beat a seriously weight drained De La Hoya and a mentally unstable Hatton i don’t think those victories are pretty hollow are no where near the level of beating the cheat.

First, I automatically ruled out the boxers just because I wanted to vote for an MMA fighter. Then I voted for Machida because the ESPYs are supposed to be a year by year type award, and IMO Machida was better than Anderson this year.

Pacman will probably get the award due to the way he won his last fight, and like it or not more ESPN voters will take the boxer over the MMA fighter.

I believe because of the hype Manny gets this award. Plus manny has developed and proven he is p4p the best boxer right now.

A. Silva would be my pick because of his incredible win streak and title fights and moving up in weight 2x and he is IMO the worlds best fighter MMA that is.

S. Mosley is a peoples fighter and Champ. He is stlyle and true class and has and will fight only the best. My type of champion.

L. Machida yeah this has been a great year for him so far, but I just cant give him the award over the other champs yet…

Silva has looked bad because one of his opponents got hurt.. and it wasnt that bad a fight up until that point and one he probably would have finished.. and he got matched with Thales Leites, who laid on his back the whole fight.

not only are they fighters, theyre two of the best in the world.
i am by far a bigger mma fan, but ill admit that pacquiao can kick some serious a$$.
i think lyoto or anderson should win the award but they wont. i would bet on manny takin it home

I think it’s funny that someone critiqued Anderson Silvas performance when Anderson Silva’s mini me could beat you down. I can appreciate Anderson Silvas style. He’s methodical, and very strategic with his striking, and over-all fighting. I think it’s dumb that some people expect blood and gore; a non-stop bout when that isn’t what M.M.A is about. It’s a chess match.

Manny is an awesome fighter. But being an mma fan, I would obviousy vote for either machida or silva. Silva has been my Favourite fighter for quite some Time but machida is dominant and in my opinion, should walk away with this award hands down.
