In the main event of UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau, China, Michael Bisping was on a mission to rid himself of the sting of defeat that he suffered at the hands of Tim Kennedy earlier this year. He did just that with his fourth-round TKO stoppage of Cung Le.

The damage was done from a jab in the first round that landed flush on the eye of Cung Le, and it wasn’t long before both of his eyes were swollen and bleeding as well as his nose from the technical striking of Bisping.
Once Le’s vision was limited, Bisping started to turn up the pace and land more punches and kicks to the body of the former Strikeforce Champion.
The finish finally came in the first minute of the fourth round, when Bisping unloaded a barrage of hooks to the body and head that dropped Le, and referee Leon Roberts waived it off at 0:57 of the round.
Speaking to Kenny Florian in the cage after his victory, Bisping had this to say:
“I took some time off and had some problems, and came back and it didn’t go well. This is what I’m capable of. I’m capable of better. …I’ve had the best camp ever. I want to be world champion, I have the tools. But you have to back it up. This is the start of backing it up.”
As far as where “The Count” wants to go from here, he layed out his plans immediately after the fight, saying:
“What do I want? I want the title. There’s an idiot called Luke Rockhold, who doesn’t stop talking about me. I think he has the hots for me, to be honest. Luke Rockhold, you called me out. If you want to do it, lets dance. I’m going to beat Luke Rockhold, and then I’m going to take the title.”
