On the final episode of The Ultimate Fighter 9, Team UK welterweight James Wilks defeated Frank Lester via third-round TKO to advance to the 170-pound finals on Saturday in Las Vegas, where he’ll take on Demarques Johnson, the lone finals representative for Team US.
Team UK lightweights Ross Pearson and Andre Winner will also square off on the card in the season’s 155-pound final.
As always, MMAFrenzy.com will have live results from Saturday’s event beginning at 7pm ET. The Spike-televised main card is headlined by Clay Guida vs. Diego Sanchez and also features Nate Diaz vs. Joe Stevenson.

Look for the Johnson-Wilkes matchup to be a great fight. Lester looked completely exhausted in his rematch with Wilks. Perhaps that fatigue is what made Lester ignore virtually all of Dan Henderson’s coaching during the fight.
You noticed him ignoring the coaching too? Yeah, I do think the fatigue played a role. It wasn’t the only reason, but definitely part of the reason for it.
In my book, Johnson v. Wilkes is almost American v. American anyways, even though Wilkes has a British accent, and fought for team UK, he has lived in California for nearly ten years, and went to the UK just to be on team UK. Both fights should be great, I think Johnson will win if he comes out in shape, and I think Winner will live up to his name.
Anybody here think that lester looks like Dan henderson?
James Wilks is a Brit through and through, I grew up with him, if you had enough sporting ability to compete in a sport at the top level but your own country did not have facilities, support, training opportunities etc. . . would you relocate? Plenty of the top multi million pound earning football players (thats probably soccer to you) live away from their homeland and represent their country at international level. I know you lot are most welcoming to foriegners and let them become governors etc . . . but don’t confuse citizenship with roots and where your heart is at.
I agree it will be victory to Winner, but I am clearly supporting Wilks over Johnson . . . should be great fights, can’t wait
Nice try justin, you can borrow a uk guy and pretend he is American if you like!
lol
Ryan – Beatifully put!
haha justin tying to claim our guy only messing with ya, this is the 1st time ive read one of these and im not happy that i had to, tuf last show doesn’t screen in the uk until sunday 11pm but tuf final is live sunday 2am, that doesn’t make sence to me this has happend for the last few years dana needs to sort this out.
by the way i no frankie has a lot of heart but he doesn’t seem like a good fighter to me, its one thing being able to take a beating and keep comeing forward but he just doesn’t seem to be able to finish guys or get affective strikes in, if dana signs him which he prob will i dont see him winning one fight in the ufc!!
Well said JOHNBOY.
He did fight 4 times in 34 days and losing his chicklets had to mess with his head somewhat. He said after the fight that he was physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually spent.
