The UFC has hired former Nevada Deputy Attorney General Mike Mersch. Mersch’s role is not known but he is expected to work closely with his former co-worker turned UFC COO Kirk Henrick. Here’s an excerpt from an article from the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

Also moving to MMA is Mike Mersch, the Nevada deputy attorney general who represents the Nevada Athletic Commission. Mersch has taken a job with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he will join former co-worker Kirk Hendrick, now UFC’s chief operating officer.
