TJ Grant vs. Dong Hyun Kim Booked for UFC 100
Welterweights TJ Grant and Dong Hyun Kim, whose opponents for their scheduled bouts recently withdrew due to injuries, have now been booked to square off on the UFC 100 preliminary card on July 11 in Las Vegas, according to MMA Weekly.
Grant had been set to compete this Saturday on The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale undercard against Rory Markham, who was forced out of the contest due to a quadriceps injury. A winner of five-straight, Grant defeated Ryo Chonan via split decision in his UFC debut in April.
Kim was slated to face Jonathan Goulet at the historic event before Goulet withdrew from the card over the weekend due to a dislocated shoulder. Undefeated in 13 professional bouts, Kim won back-to-back fights over Jason Tan and Matt Brown to start his UFC career before suffering a split decision loss to Karo Parisyan which was later changed to a no contest after Parisyan tested positive for banned painkillers.
UFC 100 features a pair of championships headliners as heavyweight title-holders Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir unify their belts and Georges St-Pierre puts his welterweight title on the line against Thiago Alves.

I want the Dong’er aka Stun Gun to win this bout, nice for Grant to step up and take this fight… Grant has a chance here that is forsure
Ya Grant looked pretty good against Ryo chonan, at 97 and I think this should be a good fight. I feel that he is a bit small for WW though and wouldnt be surprised if he took a venture down to 155.
Haha, Dong’er! Hilarious!
Dong Hyun Kim should tecnicaly still be undefeated because Karo Parysian took pain killers AND he clearly lost that fight.
Marvel he is 11~0~1 (1NC), which is in my book undefeated
even if karo tested posotive for being on some ****, i think kim won that fight. I like kim. He’s a solid technical fighter dude. He was all over browns back like a spider! He’s looked impressive in his bouts and i look forward to seeing him perform again.
UFC 100 is going to be awesome! Hope one of the prelims, if any, that they show will be bonnar vs coleman.
thanks for clearing that up fr702, i actually didn’t realize they ruled it a no contest
Speaking of Karo someone please tell me what sherdog was smoking when they ranked him #6 on their WW rankings, and swick isnt even top ten.
carls, um well its sherpup soo that is prettymuch what that means….
Marvel no worries man, its been a long day
UFC 100 will be great, it has to be imo
I’m glad things worked out for Grant, Kim, and the UFC 100 card.
Two questions though:
Does Kim still get paid if they didn’t find a replacement in time and he didn’t fight at 100?
Anyone going to 100?
