Good Crowned Welterweight Champ at Bellator XI With Knockout of De La Cruz

Lyman GoodLyman Good became the first-ever Bellator welterweight champion on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut, knocking out Omar De La Cruz just 83-seconds into their Bellator XI headliner to win the promotion’s 170-pound tournament and its $100,000 bonus.

The event’s official results were:

  • Lyman Good def. Omar De La Cruz via TKO (strikes) — Round 1, 1:23
  • Jake Ellenberger def. Marcelo Alfaya via knockout (punch) — Round 1, 0:42
  • Justin Torrey def. Matt Makowski via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
  • Vagner Rocha def. Igor Gracie via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
  • Nick Pace def. Collin Tebo via TKO (strikes) — Round 1, 1:37
  • Uriah Hall def. Edwin Aguilar via TKO (strikes) — Round 3, 4:31
  • Jimmie Rivera def. Nick Garcia via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
  • David Branch def. Dennis Olsen via submission (rear naked choke) – Round 1, 2:27
