Good Crowned Welterweight Champ at Bellator XI With Knockout of De La Cruz

Lyman Good became the first-ever Bellator welterweight champion on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut, knocking out Omar De La Cruz just 83-seconds into their Bellator XI headliner to win the promotion’s 170-pound tournament and its $100,000 bonus.

- Nick Pace def. Collin Tebo via TKO (strikes) — Round 1, 1:37
- Uriah Hall def. Edwin Aguilar via TKO (strikes) — Round 3, 4:31
- Jimmie Rivera def. Nick Garcia via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
- David Branch def. Dennis Olsen via submission (rear naked choke) – Round 1, 2:27

I agree that Lyman is a beast but this was definately an early stopage. Yves lavigne does it again. I said it before the fight started. Both good fighters with a good future ahead of them.
