WEC 41 Sets Attendance, Gate Records
Sunday’s WEC 41 event at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California, headlined by a featherweight rematch between Mike Brown and Urijah Faber, broke the promotion’s records for attendance and live gate.
The Versus-televised event drew 13,027 fans for a $818,415 live gate, according to WEC general manager Reed Harris, who announced the figures at the post-event press conference.
Both the attendance and live gate records were previously held by WEC 34, which took place at the same venue last year and attracted 12,682 for a live gate of $738,855.
Though official figures are still pending, WEC 41 is also predicted to be the most-watched WEC event in history.

Nice job by the WEC. Must make the powers that be over at the UFC glad they bought them.
Excellent card IMO.
Well done by the WEC. This promotion is really coming along.
I agree. Here though, might be the problem. The UFC is really getting a solid 135 – 145 class built up in the WEC. Now all they have to do is take it and no more free Faber/Brown wars…this makes me sad.Dont get me wrong I buy every UFC PPV but i still enjoy watching the WEC for free and it keeps me in the action when the UFC is not holding a PPV or Fight Night. O well like I said way to go WEC.
