After Dennis Burmudez choked out Clay Guida At UFC On Fox 12, he is looking for a Featherweight title shot.

Dennis Bermudez (14-3) has 4 knockouts, 2 submissions and 7 decision victories. He made his UFC debut against Diego Brandao, but lost via 1st Rd armbar at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale on Dec / 03 / 2011. He then began a six fight winning streak. In his last four fights he beat Matt Grice via split decision at UFC 157 – Rousey vs. Carmouche on Feb / 23 / 2013, then Max Holloway via split decision at UFC 160 – Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2 on May / 25 / 2013 and then Steven Siler via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Fight for the Troops 3 on Nov / 06 / 2013. UFC President Dana White said: “That kid just keeps looking nastier and nastier every time he fights. He gets better and better. His performance tonight against a guy like Clay Guida said it all. Clay is one of those tough, durable guys that no matter who he fights, he’s in the fight. Tonight, Bermudez finished him. He looked unbelievable.”
If Bermudez is granted his Featherweight title shot then he would have to wait on the winner of Jose Aldo – Chad Mendes fight at UFC 179.
Time will tell if he does indeed get a title shot after UFC 179.
