What about the Maia v. Marquardt winner? They should have made this a mini-tourney for the title shot.

  • Jazzkok says:

Strikeforce is having an event near my hometown SF on my b-day? Ehh maybe i’ll go

Miletich vs Shamrock for the shouldhaveretiredlongtimeagobecausemyimoldandwashedupandinolongermatterinthemmaworldanymore championship of the world??

Cote should get sonnen. That would be a good fight for him to come back to.

So hendo’s getting a title shot after he whoops on bisping? That’s great dude, i hope he fights anderson. That would be a great rematch.

  • Instead of fighting Nate Marquardt, Demian Maia should have been next to challenge for the title, he even deserved a shot before Leites, but what are you going to do?

I hope that Dan Henderson gets the win so he can get a rematch with A. Silva. I just know that this time around Henderson can beat him, and of course i would hate to see Michael “overrated as hell” Bisping get a shot, let alone beat Hendo, i don’t dislike or hate too many fighters but Bisping sure is one of them.

Patrick Cote can make good matchups with a lot of guys at 185, i’m glad he signed a new deal and whether Silva is still the champ or not, i would love to see Cote fight him again, because even though he wasn’t doing much in his title fight with Silva, he was stil able to take some pretty hard and solid shots from Silva so i’m very interested to see that fight finished.

As for EA sports to release a “competitor” to UFC’s Undisputed, i don’t see that game giving Undiputed any competition being that the EA game most likely will not have any big names on their game and the UFC game is way too sick to be topped,AND it has all the popular fighters.

If Miletich-Shamrock takes place, i hope that Miletich can give Shamrock a beatdown so he can call it wuits and go back to his sucky commentary job.

  • chy says:

I dont think hendo can handle that cunning mofo Bisping. Well a bisping vs silva — I would like to see.

  • GarRule says:

I don’t think EA plans to compete with UFC, I just think that the UFC pretty much created a new game genre with this new title and EA wants a little slice of the capitolist pie!

Does anyone else have the ad on the right with the fat chick losing 42 lbs.?? R-O-A-R….

    • micjasbro says:

yeah, they could have made that ad a little more believabel. But I can’t stand the video! It really needs to go!

      • GarRule says:

HAHA…sometimes the “before” ads are just gross. But KEEP ADVERTISING…THIS SITE RULES!

    • chrisl says:

Oh EA wants to compete alright… it’s why they bought the NFL, NCAA, NASCAR, and FIFA(partial) licensing deals that’s how they roll

      • GarRule says:

When this game was first being developed, I was hoping EA would put it out. I’m suprised they didn’t buy the rights. I bet the UFC wanted too much control. Can’t blame them…it seems like they REALLY wanted to get this game right.

      • chrisl says:

I see your point as far as why since they do such a great job on most sports games but the problem with EA is that they have several different teams/sections and depending on which team was signed to develop the game would pretty much make or break how good the game is. Some of their work has been less than stellar because EA has a bad tendency to rush things in order to get it out rather than make a quality game so I am just happy Undisputed plays so smooth for a first effort.

  • Patrick Cote should fight Dennis Kang or Mcfedries should fight Kang.

Or when Hendo beats Bisping, Cote should fight Bisping.

  • carls says:

seems like strikeforce wants to put on a card like every two months but i dont know if their roster is deep enough for that right now, hopefully when affliction crumbles they can scoop up some fighters

Will this EA game have any of the UFC fighters? i dont realy know how that whole contracting thing works. but if they do plus they get dream strike and bellator ect, fighters aswell that would be awesome.

the whole “6 fight card” for 99 is no big deal when ever their is no title on the line they usually have the room for one or two more provided that all the fights dont go to decisions. On paper not many of the fights on the main card should get past the second round.

glad cote’s back sooner than expected wasnt it supposed to be like 18 months at first. hope he fights quarry right away and gets the KO

Faber-Brown 2 should be a war but i think browns got it that guys just a beast.

Maia has got to be pissed that guy was suppose to get a title shot eons ago but now with the whole Anderson is boring debacle their realy trying to stall on that fight hell even if he catches nate with a flying arm triangle in the first 3 seconds of the fight hes not going to be fighting the spider untill sometime 2010.

Vitor santiago will be fireworks. To bad affliction are so bad with money cause their pretty good at matchmaking.

  • RonnyRAGE says:

on the whole 6 main card fights. I think that it sucks and means that we will only see 6 fights. I for one don’t give a **** about watching a guy walk out.

I would rather watch a tape delayed card that only shows fights.

I have to say it ” like PRIDE used to do”

  • wellfire says:

I hope Bisping loses hard, He had trouble with Matt Hamel and should have lost the decision, if you can’t beat hamel there is no way in hell that he will beat up silva, not even close. They aren’t gonna waste Silvas remaining fights on a submission fighter after the last debacle.

And I think arlovski is gonna get put to sleep by Rodgers on Saturday

  • muaythai4life says:

Is it me or has Jorge Santiago became a seriously over-hyped fighter all of a sudden? The rankings place him extremely high. I like the guy and think he is a good fighter, and yes he is riding like an 8 or 9 fight win streak at the moment, but it is against mediocre competition.

On the other hand Vitor has really seemed to rebuild himself as a middle weight. He looks a LOT like the Vitor that ran through his early competition. If Jorge Santiago manages to beat Vitor I will then believe he belongs in those rankings. But for now I am not impressed. Nakamura, Trevor Prangley, Sean Salmon and Jeremy Horn are not opponents that I believe should propel someone into top 10 status in the MW division.

Cote’s resigning should have been a total no brainer. His loss to Silva (while probably impending) was due to an injury and he still put on a good performance. Glad to see that he is back and healthy (hopefully).

Did anyone else see that Thales’s fight was on the undercard?! that’s rough when a title challengers very next fight might not even be televised.

  • Natsdad says:

Man you guys are tough on Bisping, I like him and I think he’ll do well against Hendo but I’m a little torn on whether or not he can beat him up. Since moving to Middleweight Bisping has become much more aggressive, even though he never had issues with aggression he always came out to fight. Very happy to see Cote back in action soon and I hope he got a good contract. I’m sure we’ll see him fight for the title again in a year or so, and the whole Leites thing is very how do I say it, &^%$ED, Dude has a title shot and next card he doesn’t even get his face on tv, figures

    • Justin says:

Jon Fitch was off TV for his next fight after losing to GSP, but I think part of that was related to the video game/AKA debacle. I think, though, that perhaps Leites getting relegated to the under card is his punishment for flopping on his back half the fight against Silva.

      • carls says:

Ya thats obviously the reason. I think their done punishing Fitch. Considering that hes now on the main card of UFC 100.
