Impressive to see Sherk get the win now when he’s off the roids.

    Or no wait…

    • Sherk lost because for some CRAZY reason he feels he’s a striker who can box, i mean he did say “i’ve been boxing for 12 years”. If he would have kept it “real” and just stick to his base he would have won.

      • Justin says:

And then you and a million other people would have whined complained about “another boring LnP victory” from Sherk.

      • joejoe says:

        Yeah agree with Justin

      • Justin dude,

If you look at everything i’ve said since i joined this awesome site, you will NEVER find one time where i’ve bashed fights that wre mostly “ground fights”. I’ve alwways liked the ground fighters whether they are wrestlers or jj guys, because without them this sport is just boxing or kickboxing.

      • chrisl says:

everyone complains about Sherk when he takes guys to the ground Marvel, he doesn’t do anything other than throw one or two punches and makes sure he isn’t subbed for the rest of the period. believe me it’s normal haha.

      • Jazzkok says:

I criticize sherk all around all the time. If the dude sticks to his base, wrestling, then his fights are always boring because he never does anything and he never finishes that way. If he choses to stand and “box”, it’s not as boring, but still i’m not impressed cuz that’s another thing he isn’t good at. He never lands a shot and gets worked by his opponent throughout the fight. The bottom line with sherk is that his fights are very rarely exciting because of what i just said.

If you stop and think about it, he’s known for only 2 things.

        1. His conditioning/work ethic (which could be tainted by the roids)

        2. The fact that he was the champ. But like i said before, he won the belt by laying on florian the whole fight.

Besides that what else is there?

FYI not bashing, just arguing the fact that no matter what sherk does, stand or wrestle and grapple, the outcome is always the same…

      • Justin says:

        Marvel,
Ok, so maybe you specifically wouldn’t go down that path, but plenty of others here would.

  • chrisl says:

obligatory how did they test Machida’s urine and him remain hydrated joke…

  • eldiablo says:

With Machida I hear they just do a breathalizer on him.

  • Mitch says:

Wow, this is strange seeing how Serra and Hughes both were part of the random rest and their names aren’t on there along with Edgar and Sherk, but only Edgar’s name came up? I wonder about these tests sometimes..

  • They should double check the piss Machida drinks, it might have something hidden that we don’t know about :)

Seriously, it’s good to see less and less guys testing positive now a days.

    • chrisl says:

I think that’s in large part to people actually understanding what they’re taking as far as supplements now. For the most part tests haven’t been failed THAT often after the first year of the UFC’s comeback.

  • bigchris2328 says:

what a bs test. I know what machida is on. the dude is a constant user of awesomeness and unbeatableness, and beastness, not to mention the rare but new and unbeatable now-you-see-me-now-i-move-and-ko-you. thats what machida is on. there are no tests for it as of yet, but he will test positive for it.

  • OnlyTrue1 says:

Good to see all fighters tested clean

But I still hate my boy got ko’d!

Machida is a beast he is the truth, he’s a problem that I have a hard time see’ing anyone who can solve in 205!

  • Ham says:

No Kimbo Slice on TUF update yet?

      • Justin says:

Please excuse my earlier disbelief, I thought you were pulling my leg, I have since learned that one of the writers here at MMAFrenzy is working on a post on said subject.

      • carls says:

Im still hoping lashley will come out for TUF 10 it is heavyweights isnt it

      • chrisl says:

yeah just read that as well on yahoo… so obviously the boxing thing didn’t garner much interest…

      • Justin says:

Dana had said (via his Twitter) that he would be working on some massive things in meetings today, and I have learned that there is to be a media day tomorrow, so I was hoping that Lashley on TUF would be one of those massive things, it looks like maybe he was talking about Bimbo….er Kimbo. I do doubt though that Lashley will be on there, especially with his bout with Sapp coming up later this month, and I think I’ve seen him rumored to be involved in another fight at a later date already.

      • chrisl says:

I am waiting on the Lashley thing, ever since Lauzon I’ve kinda held off on saying who would and wouldn’t be there. I doubt it w/ Lashley because his management was vehemently opposed to it, I know at least one of the former NFL guys made it.

      • Justin says:

What happened with Lauzon? Refresh my memory, please.

      • chrisl says:

He knocked out Pulver even though he had an offer for the show already.

      • Justin says:

That’s what I thought you were referring to. I guess what may be different this time around is that they literally started filming today for this season, and Lashley is still to fight later this month. I suppose Lauzon fought between finding out he was on the show, and the beginning of taping.

      • chrisl says:

ah didn’t realize filming started today. I think Joe took the fight on fairly short notice with Pulver after he received the offer.
