If this is to be held in Oregon then i’m gonna go to this one!
There are alot of interesting fights that are rumoured for this card. Looks like a fun event

    Maia v. Marquardt?…woohoo!!!

Does anybody know where ufc 103 is likely to be staged. I see Manchester/Liverpool is no longer rumoured but any clues on whether it will be a uk or usa event?

  • This ia a sick card. I’m rooting for Vera,T. Silva,Demian Maia, Jake Rosholt,James Irvin,Junior Dos Santos and i’ hoping that Noguera can destroy Couture and send him packing once and for ALL.

  • Jazzkok says:

Wow dude what a great card!

I have to admit that i’m impressed with couture. After his tko loss to lesnar, he’s still competing, and competing against the best. At this stage in his long career and at his age, you have to admire that.

Great fights all around that will definately impact each division.

Damian Maia vs Marquardt is a great fight for what i assume will be the #1 conteder @ mw. Hope Maia pulls it off so he can truly challenge anderson on the ground.

Jardine vs Thiago Silva…this fight will end with a tko. Jardine doesn’t have ko power and neither does thiago but both guys have shown they can pick you apart and finish you. Jardine would be wise to try and keep the fight standing and stick to more technical striking against silva because silva is aggressive and comes after you but he does so in a sloppy way which leaves him open to take hits (machida fight). Thiago should do what he does best and take him down and GnP on him. I’m not a jardine fan so i’m rooting for silva

Hamill vs Vera. I think vera a grea fighter who’s had some set backs but he seems to be getting back on track. Vera in shape and confident imho could be a threat @ 205. this dude has sick ass muay thai(when he uses it) and good subs for a dude his size. I like hamill, but the winner of this fight will climb “the rankings” and i would much rather see vera, a guy who can actually be a threat @ 205, win this fight.

Thiago doesn’t have KO power? Do you have him confused with Thiago Tavares? Thiago has one decision on his record with 10 TKO’s and 1 submission due to strikes(2 total subs but the other sub was by heel hook), just saying haha.

Other than that I am also stoked by this card it looks great!!!

Yeah dude, i’m a huge thiago fan and know his record. . What I meant by ko power was that neither jardine or thiago silva imo have that 1 punch ko power. The kind of 1 punch ko power rampage displayed against lidell and wanderlei. I also think thiago’s stand up is too wild and sloppy to be able to land a solid, clean shot.

      • chrisl says:

Gotcha! Personally I think most guys have one punch KO power and that it is more based in technique and accuracy than actual power with MOST fighters. If Thiago cleaned it up he’d easily have one punch KO power and I do mean easily. To be honest Rampage landed perfect counters on both Chuck and Wandi and that can be taught.

      • As everyone knows, i’m not the biggest Jardine fan, but i have to give him the edge in the stand-up for this fight. Thiago Silva, like my dawg JAZZKOK said, has sloppy punches and is not a striker, but he does have power. Jardine as we all know has decent stand-up with decent power, and quite frankly has better overall striking than Silva. Just look at the Silva-Machida fight, he basically told Machida, come and knock me out dude cuz my hands are slow and sloppy.

I have to say that i don’t think that either Jardine nor T. Silva have one punch ko power, even if their tecnique improved i think they still wouldn’t have one punch power, but that’s just me. I hope Thiago take this fight to the ground and pounds the crap out of the “Dean Of Mean”.

      • carls says:

Ya i think Thiago Silva is going to have a hard time with Sardine. Although keith has never realy been overly impressive i think resume against elite strikers speakes for itself

beat chuck, beat forrest, beat vera, did ok against Rampage

where as silva has stuggled against stikers even though he picked up wins against some of them
irvin- he wasnt doing well on the feat but took him down and james knee popped
alexander- wasnt doing well on the feat but took him down and well we all now how good houston is off his back
mendez- was getting crushed on the feet until he took him down and mounted him

I think the key to victory for Silva here is to either bull rush jardine(seems to work) or take him down, although jardines ground game is better than any of the guys i listed thigo beating when he took them down.
        Sardine by decision

    better late than never.
    i’ll watch it.

too bad that ufc wanted to find the worst match up, so they expedited a gynormous wrestler to get back at randy for squaking.
if not in their primes early in the nogs ufc would have been good.
it’ll be a great war though
