The return of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Andrei Arlovski was a flop in so many words. However, UFC President Dana White will give him another opportunity to get back inside the cage and fight once again to prove who he is really is.
“I was disappointed in both of their performances,” White said of Arlovski (22-10 MMA, 11-4 UFC) and Schaub. “It doesn’t mean the guys are never going to fight again. I just let them know how I felt. The fight sucked. I’ve got Schaub hitting me up telling me that he got robbed. I’m like, ‘No, we got robbed.’”
Andrei Arlovski (21-10) will be making his return to the UFC in this fight. He has 15 knockouts, 3 submissions and 3 decision victories in his MMA career. He is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion. “Guys have bad nights,” White said. “It’s not like I hate Brendan Schaub or Andrei Arlovski because of it. I just hated that fight. You guys know how it is; I’ll always let guys know how I feel about a fight.
Since leaving the UFC he has a record of 8-5-1. In his last five fights, he is 4-1.
“For anybody to be complaining about being robbed in that fight…believe me, I’ve seen some robberies, and that wasn’t a robbery. That could go either way, and at the end of the day, nobody would give a s–t, because the fight was terrible.”
In his last three fights he is 2-1. He lost to Anthony Johnson via unanimous decision at WSOF 2 – Arlovski vs. Johnson on Mar / 23 / 2013. He is coming off a win over Brendan Schaub at UFC 174 by Split Decision.
